My name is Léane, and I am 23 years old. I am currently living in Heidelberg, Germany, and I will be starting my Physiotherapy studies at THIM in Nieuwegein, on August 31st. As I will be moving to the Netherlands for my studies, I am currently looking for suitable accommodation. I am a responsible, tidy, and motivated student looking for a comfortable place to live during my studies. My preferred move-in date is August, but I am also flexible and can move in August or September depending one the availabilities of the rooms.

I am a 24-year-old Canadian law student from Toronto. I have been in Groningen since August 2025. I came to Groningen as part of my Canadian University’s partnership with RUG that allowed me to finish my Canadian Juris Doctor degree and enabled me to get an LLM at RUG. As such, currently, I have completed the Juris Doctor degree and am wrapping up my LLM in Law and Technology at the RUG. In Canada, the study of law is exclusively a graduate study. As a result, I also have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I planned to go back to Toronto for work after the completion of my study in Groningen. However, I have fallen in love with the city and its walkability/cyclability. As a result, I plan to stay in the city for some time and establish a legal career in Europe. Currently, I am in the process of searching for a legal job. In the meantime, I have lined up some part time work to keep up with expenses. Although surprised, my family is supportive of my decision to stay in Groningen and are willing to act as my financial safety net, if needed. I have been paying 800 EUR for my current SSH accommodation and can provide the receipts. Apart from my study and work-based pursuits, I have kept engaged with hobbies in the city including Salsa and Ballroom dancing. I am also a part of the travel association AEGEE and have taken opportunities to travel across 12 European countries. Additionally, I am currently taking Dutch intensive summer classes. I hope to have at least an A2 level proficiency in the language by the end of this summer.

Hey toekomstige huisgenoten/verhuurder, Ik ben een derdejaars bachelorstudent (22) en ik zoek een plek in de regio Haaglanden, bij voorkeur in Den Haag of Leiden. Momenteel woon ik in een antikraakpand in Den Haag waar de sloopplannen binnenkort plaatsvinden. Daarom ben ik dringend op zoek naar een nieuwe woonplek! Een beetje over mezelf: ik kom uit Bergen op Zoom, ik hou van reizen en kunst. Een van de redenen dat ik graag in de regio Haaglanden wil blijven, is vanwege de aanwezige kunstcultuur hier. Ik heb gereisd binnen de EU, maar ook daarbuiten (Canada, Kenia). Ik ben een nette huisgenoot, ik hou van een schoon huis en woon momenteel met acht anderen (sommigen doen weinig en ik heb een hekel aan een vieze keuken :( ). Ik ben zeker niet meer in mijn feestperiode en ik zou graag huisgenoten hebben die werken of studeren zoals ik. Momenteel studeer ik, maar in mijn vierde jaar ben ik van plan veel te werken naast mijn studie. Ik hoop dat jullie mij overwegen en alvast bedankt!

Nieuwe stad, nieuwe studie, nieuwe mensen — daar heb ik zin in! Ik ben Floris, bijna 18, uit Liempde (NB) en ik start deze zomer met Geschiedenis aan de Universiteit Utrecht. Ik ben nieuwsgierig en geïnteresseerd in hoe dingen zijn ontstaan en waarom de wereld eruitziet zoals hij nu is. Naast studeren ben ik graag actief bezig. Ik hockey fanatiek, speel gitaar en wil in Utrecht gaan roeien en het studentenleven ontdekken. In huis ben ik sociaal, open en makkelijk in de omgang. Ik vind het leuk om met huisgenoten om te gaan, maar ben ook prima zelfstandig en houd het netjes.
