Mijn naam is Chaddy en ik ben een jonge ondernemer die op zoek is naar een fijne en rustige woonplek waar ik mij echt thuis kan voelen. Na mijn studie aan de universiteit ben ik direct aan de slag gegaan in het bedrijfsleven. Inmiddels ben ik aandeelhouder van drie restaurants: één in Amsterdam-Noord, één in Den Haag en een recent geopend restaurant in Bangkok. Ik ben ambitieus en werk met veel plezier aan de verdere groei van mijn ondernemingen, maar ik hecht ook veel waarde aan een prettige woonomgeving. Daarom ben ik op zoek naar een ruim appartement op een goede locatie, waar ik zowel kan ontspannen als mij kan focussen op mijn werk en toekomstplannen.

I'm Ryan, 21 years old and looking for a room in Rotterdam. I just finished my thesis for my bachelor's in Business Analytics at the University of Amsterdam and will be starting the master's in Econometrics and Management Science at Erasmus University next year, probably starting with the pre-master. During my entire bachelor's I lived with my parents in Hilversum, very nice and relaxed, but I'm more than ready to finally move out. After my six-month exchange in Hong Kong I realised how great it is to live on your own. In my free time I'm very into sports, I played football my whole life but at the moment it's mostly going to the gym and running. I'm also hoping to pick up bouldering once I'm in Rotterdam. Other than that I'm sometimes behind my PlayStation and I enjoy a beer with friends. I'm a calm guy who values his own time, but also definitely enjoys good company. I like a clean and tidy house, enjoy cooking and would love to eat together every now and then.

I'm someone who gets a lot of energy from being around people, whether that's at uni, a rugby training session, a night out, or just chatting over dinner. At the same time, I'm just as happy disappearing into nature for a walk, reading a good book, meditating for a bit, or taking my old camcorder out to film whatever catches my eye. I've also recently gotten into dancing, so don't be surprised if I'm the first one convincing people to join me on the dance floor. I've lived in France, the US, Scotland, and the UAE, which has given me the chance to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds. I think that's made it pretty easy for me to connect with others and feel at home in new places. At home, I like keeping shared spaces clean and comfortable. I'm always happy to hang out or cook together, but I also appreciate everyone's own space just as I appreciate mine. I naturally clean up after myself and believe the state of your house reflects your state of mind.

Ik kom uit Eindhoven en zoek dus dringend een kamer (ben nu 7 uur per dag kwijt met reizen). Ik ben een rustige jongen, speel elektrisch gitaar (oefenen kan met koptelefoon) en luister graag naar muziek. Ik ben een onderzoeker, altijd wel bezig met projecten rond elektronica, 3D printen en programmeren, bijvoorbeeld voor verbeterde geluidstechniek op mijn kamer. Ik vind het ook heel leuk om dingen te repareren. Ik lees graag sci-fi, hou van wandelen in de natuur en hard fietsen. Ik heb thuis en bij de scouting een beetje leren koken, het lijkt me leuk om meer te leren en straks ook met huisgenoten te koken en te eten. Ik zoek het liefst een kamer in een studentenhuis met mensen die het gezellig vinden om soms ook samen leuke dingen te doen. Ik ben van plan om lid te worden van Scintilla en ik ben benieuwd of ik een bandje vind om in te spelen. En… Tijdens de Kick In word ik 18, misschien kan ik jullie straks trakteren?

I’m Cristina, 25 years old, and I’ve been living in Amsterdamfor a while now. I work full-time in digital marketing as a team lead at an agency, and besides that I also run my own jewelry art studio at Treehouse NDSM. Most of my free time somehow ends up in the studio making jewelry or metal sculptures, which I genuinely love. I’d say I’m a very open-minded, friendly, and easygoing person. I like having a warm and comfortable home atmosphere, where everyone feels relaxed and at ease. Outside of work, I’m into cooking, dinners with friends, jazz music, and all the small cozy things that make a place feel like home. I’m also a very tidy person and I genuinely like cleanliness — to the point where I actually clean when I’m stressed, which I guess is not the worst coping mechanism to have 😅 I’m respectful of shared spaces and pretty mindful of the people I live with. At the moment I’m living with two guys already, so I’m very used to shared living and different personalities around the house. I’m social and happy to chat from time to time, but I also really respect personal space and everyone having their own routine.
