Naast mijn studie ben ik actief als muzikant, speel ik met verschillende bands en projecten en organiseer ik regelmatig evenementen. In mijn vrije tijd ben ik veel met muziek bezig, maar ik vind het ook leuk om met vrienden te basketballen en ben ik actief met FPV-drone racing. Daarnaast ben ik graag praktisch bezig: ik vind het leuk om te klussen en dingen te bouwen. Vanuit mijn achtergrond in Industrieel Product Ontwerpen heb ik hier ook de nodige ervaring mee. Waarom ik een kamer zoek Ik ben op zoek naar een fijne plek waar ik voor langere tijd mijn thuis van kan maken, bij voorkeur voor de rest van mijn studie. Momenteel woon ik bij mijn ouders in Rijnsburg. Vanaf daar ben ik bijna twee uur per enkele reis onderweg naar mijn studie in Amsterdam. Daarnaast speel ik regelmatig optredens door heel Nederland, die vaak laat eindigen wanneer er geen OV meer rijdt. Een kamer in de Randstad zou mij daarom veel reistijd besparen en het een stuk makkelijker maken om mijn studie, werk en muziek te combineren. For the past five years I've built and run the quality systems behind medical devices , most recently as senior QA officer on an autonomous medical robot, and now as quality and risk lead at Niavicta, where I'm also co-founder. I have an M.A. in International Management, with a thesis on the adoption of autonomous medical devices that was graded with distinction, and a B.Sc. in Physiology and Psychology, cum laude. I'm originally from South Africa, where I worked in medical device regulation before moving to the Netherlands in 2023. I've been in Utrecht since then, so this would be a local move rather than a fresh start, I know the area and I'm settled here. Outside work I'm at the gym a few times a week and I walk a lot; it's how I get away from a screen. The rest of my free time mostly goes into programming , I'm usually building something, learning a new tool, or taking a system apart to see how it works. As a housemate I'm tidy, self-sufficient and easy to live alongside. I cook properly, clean up after myself, and I'm not someone who fills the house with people. I like coming home to a calm place at the end of the day. I'm not a student, which in practice means a steady income, a predictable weekday routine, and no plans to move out at the end of a semester.
