Hi, I'm Brooke! I am currently finishing up my masters degree in Economics at Radboud and am looking for a more permanent place to stay. I'm from the US originally (raised in Colorado), but would love to stay abroad. I can be social but also love to stay in, just depends on who I'm with. Some of my hobbies include reigning 2nd place champs at our international Pubquiz every Monday night (the first place team is hard to beat!), watching every reality tv show I can, reading books, baking, snowboarding, traveling etc. I am looking for a room in the Netherlands, not too picky on the exact location. My current house is very much a student accomodation, so I am looking for more of an 'adult' feel to my next house. I would love to be friends or at least friendly with my roommates, because my current house now feels like a revolving door and it gets quite lonely. As a roommate, I tend to be very clean and respectful of the shared spaces. I'm often the one taking out the trash and doing general upkeep of my place now. I'm quiet, a non-smoker, and not to sound biased but would consider myself easy to live with. My current lease ends in July, but I'd be willing to sign another lease starting in June. I work from the office always, and weekends I can be out and about quite a bit. So even if I am probably not going to be around much, I still want to find a place that feels like a home and where people take care of the shared space. I have lived in many different shared houses already, I'm used to it and I'm fairly easy to get along with and adaptable. Hello there! I'm a self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) who relocated to the Netherlands from the U.S. in February. I have a valid visa & residence permit, a business registered with the KvK, a growing network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having previously spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, where I'm and am temporarily staying. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Bussum, Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Naarden, LOVE Baarn, Hoorn, Haarlem, Amersfoot and Den Haag - where I have friends. I'm aware of the housing shortage, and will happily consider any availability within a 90-minute commute by public transportation to Amsterdam, where much of my work seems to be. I have an excellent rental history and personal references and I care for my space. I have a green thumb, love people, adore animals, art, am newly enthusiastic about golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! I would love my independence and a studio or apartment, but I also understand the housing shortage yields few or unaffordable rentals, so I'd be open to discussing sharing in a bright, comfortable place with someone kind and respectful, who appreciates some privacy and room to breathe. :) I have no pets, but huge bonus if you do! ;) Registration is necessary.
