hello my name is Lauri, I am 19 years old and I am from Slovakia. In September I will be starting my studies at Radboud University in Nijmegen. I'll be studying English language and culture and I plan to focus on my studies while I explore my surroundings and meet new people, I also have working experience and plan on working part-time besides my studies. In my free time I really enjoy photography, design, staying in and watching movies, shows, or reading books. I enjoy social outings but I also appreciate some quiet time for myself. I am looking for a comfortable room where I can settle down for at least a few months (If more is possible that is great, but if not that is okay too) until I get to know the city and people around me. For the past four years, since I was 15, I was attending a Secondary vocational school in Slovakia and because of that I have been living in a dormitory most of the time. I have been living, studying and now working in the Netherlands for the last five years and I currently rent a place in Rotterdam with my brother. I work in Finance as a Credit Analyst for an American International company based in Utrecht and Deventer, called AJC International for the last 2 years, where I have built a stable career and expecting a promotion by the end of 2026. My gross monthly income is about €4,200 (approximately €3,350 net + bonuses). In addition to my monthly income, I have approximately €7,000 in personal savings and a family member (brother) as a guarantor if needed. My motivation for moving to Utrecht is primarily work-related as my company's offices are located close to Utrecht, and as requested from my employer, living nearby would allow me to work more days at the office rather than fully remote. Outside of work, I enjoy doing sports, cooking, spending time with my family and maintaing a healthy lifestyle.
