I came here aged 18 to study, and somewhere along the way I found myself at home in the Hague. I have lived communally for 7 years in student housing. I am looking for a new place as I am currently subletting a studio with a chronic leak (nice way of saying my house is literally flooding on the regular) & mould – naturally, in the middle of a housing crisis. I am trying to stay optimistic and proactive, but the instability of my housing situation is taking a toll on my wellbeing. Finding a place where I can call home long-term would mean the absolute world to me. I am a community-oriented ambivert who deeply values time alone as much as time with people I love. My ideal living situation is one that brings a sense of ease into my life – it’s much less about the specifics. I appreciate a clean and tidy space with room for flexibility when there is a lot going on. More generally, I am happy to fit in with the current dynamic, as long as there is space for me too!
