Currently, I live in an apartment in Nieuw-West with one roommate, however, my rental contract was only one year, so now is the time for me to look for a new place I can call home. When am I moving? I am looking for a room from June onward but I am flexible and can also move in sooner! Am I tidy? I am Austrian, I think being organized and tidy is in our DNA 😄 But seriously, I think when sharing your living space it's important to clean up after yourself and just be considerate of one another (and have open communication!) Who else am I bringing? No one! It's just me and my 3 plants (but they are barely hanging on for dear life… so we'll see if they make it) BUT I am always buying fresh flowers (see picture as a reference 🌸) What do I do when I am not working? Generally, I am a quite quiet and relaxed person. Since my job is very demanding, I am usually tired when I get home. However, I am always up for a chat :) Weekends I either spend with friends at a nice brunch spot, go to a museum, the gym, or a nice walk, or just relax with a nice book. Am I a party girl? On a good day, I barely make it to 11.00 pm before I hit the bed 😴 but then again, if you wanna have a glass of wine in the kitchen and talk about life...say less 🍷 Some other things you should know? I don't have any pets, I don't smoke and I would like to rent a room for at least 1 year, but preferably longer if that's possible. Hello, my name is Jay and I'm a 27 years old Jazz musician from Vitoria-Gasteiz in the north of Spain. This last few years I've been studying Jazz Guitar in the Conservatoire of Pamplona, Spain from which I've just graduated and also working as a guitar teacher in different places. My idea for the future is to find an affordable room/home in Amsterdam and apply for the Conservatorium van Amsterdam for the next term as I visited a couple of months back and I fell in love with the place and the music scene which I must say it's truly captivating. Personally, I'm a peaceful person, I spend most of time studying music or practicing in my room (I use headphones to practice, I don't want to bother anyone with my music), I'm not really a party person, I enjoy my peace and quiet and I love to read or go watch art/paintings in a museum...I also like to keep the house tidy, I've shared a house before with flat-mates and we used to have like a cleaning schedule that worked well just so everyone enjoy their time and have space to do their own thing in peace. Momenteel werk ik ook in loondienst in Arnhem bij Clocked-Up (escape room). Daarnaast doe ik ook commissies als grafisch vormgever om tussendoor wat extra's bij te verdienen. In mijn vrije tijd ben ik graag creatief bezig als tekenen. Ik ben stiekem ook een gamer en een boekenwurm en vind het leuk om op pad te gaan ! Als naar cafeetjes, kringloopwinkels etc. Ik neem graag wat tijd voor mezelf maar tegelijk vind het hartstikke leuk om te socialiseren. Tijd samen spenderen vind ik ook belangrijk. Zo hoop ik dat waar ik terecht kom de mensen daar het zelfde over denken en er een fijne en leuke woonomgeving is.
