I am looking for a place for myself for the next academic year (or a few months) from July/August. I am from India, fluent in English and Hindi (also slowly trying to learn Dutch). I am vegetarian and I try to cook my own food as much as I can. Always happy to share my cooking too haha :) . I don't smoke, and I drink very occasionally around once in two months. I like to keep my space organized and clean, so that I can find and get things done efficiently. I have lived in shared spaces before during my bachelor's, so that would not be new to me. Owing to my master's degree, most of my time goes into uni work, whether it is in coursework or research. So, I usually spend my time at uni or at home, studying. If I have the time, I enjoy watching stand up comedy and poetry performances. I also like to read and do some art & craft. I would also be happy to help you make cards or gifts or such! :) Even though most of my time goes into uni, I like to spend time with friends to chill and talk. I am also always happy to make new friends! That said, I can recognize boundaries, and am very respectful of personal space and privacy. So this was about me! I moved to the Netherlands for my job in January - I work as a translator for an international travel company - and temporarily lived in a shared house in Diemen. Since the landlord sold the house, I'm looking for a new home starting from June. My office is located in Amsterdam, so I'm looking for a quiet (studio) apartment or a quiet room in a shared apartment close to a train station or metro/tram/bus stop with good connections to "Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena". However, since I work partly from home, a commute of up to an hour is fine to me, and I'm open to accommodation outside of Amsterdam if I can reach the office within a reasonable time. I'm a reliable, tidy and clean tenant and take good care of the space I live in. I'm quiet and am also looking for a quiet space since I work from home on some days. Therefore, I'm also looking for a space with enough room to have a desk and an office chair (apart from the usual bed, closet, etc.). If you offer a room in a shared apartment, please additionally note: I have lived in various shared apartments before and can accommodate to different kind of roommates easily.
