I am Jayana, and I will be starting my Research Master in Art History at Utrecht University this September. Now, my next step is to find a new room to call home in or around Utrecht! I hold dual nationality, Swiss and Portuguese, which makes me an EU citizen. I also wanted to mention that I speak English, French, and a bit of German. A little about me: I just finished my Bachelor's degree at the University of Groningen, where I lived for 3 years in a shared flat with 5 other international girls, and I genuinely loved it. I found a family abroad and would love to do that again. I know exactly how to share a flat: I'm tidy, clean, and respectful of everyone's space, while also being sociable and open to building real friendships with my future roommates, not just living under the same roof. I love a night out, but I'm just as happy spending an evening at home playing board games. I'm also quite active; hiking, swimming, biking, or trying out any new sport are things I really enjoy, so I'd be a great sports buddy too! Since my master's programme runs for 2 years, I am looking for a place to stay for the full 2 years, ideally with the possibility to register. I am the oldest of four siblings and used to doing my share around the house, such as cooking once a week for my family, doing laundry and helping to clean. I enjoy playing games with them and the fact that I am not often home alone. In year 11 I organised half a year abroad in New Zealand for myself, where I lived with a host family. I am therefore used to settling into a new environment and to living in and respecting someone else's home. Hobby-wise, I love outdoor sports such as mountain biking and kitesurfing.
