Hi! My name is Luis, I'm 24 and I study climate protection and climate adaptation near Munich, where I'm originally from. From the beginning of September 2026 until the beginning or middle of February 2027 I'll be doing an internship in an NGO in the middle of Amsterdam – and I'm looking for a room for that period. I'd describe myself as outgoing, open-minded and energetic, but I equally enjoy calm and cozy evenings at home. I love music (playing and listening), spending time in nature, and sports like running and climbing. As a housemate I'm easy to live with: clean, respectful of shared spaces, and I do my part without having to be asked. I enjoy having a good connection with my housemates, but I also value everyone having their own space. Hello! I'm Rúben and I am from Portugal. I'm a pianist and a newcomer to Maastricht. My musical interests vary a lot but I have a particular deep passion for both contemporary music and video game soundtracks. I am part of a quite active quartet and so most of the time I am busy scheduling concerts and rehearsals for us. My hobbies are quite minimal: reading, writing a bit, and playing on the Switch. At least twice a week I also like to go out running, truly only so I can say I do some sport. Now about behaviour, although I am quite social I am a very quiet person, this means that I will always try to the little noise with others around (however, just to be clear, if left alone, I may just leave music a bit loud...). I also like to schedule my time on the kitchen, I usually cook for the next two to three days so I'll be taking at least 1h30/2h of the kitchen's at least twice or thrice a week. Hello, I'm Emilio. I’m 22 years old and will be 23 in May 2026. I was born and raised in Napa, California but have lived in Denver, Colorado for the past 2 years. I have three citizenships, American, Italian and Canadian. I speak English and some Italian, but no Dutch (yet!). I plan on settling into my new home in Amsterdam in June 2026, and will work part-time after getting settled in. I’m willing to rent sooner for the right home to avoid housing chaos. I do have savings and allocate my financial resources responsibly. I enjoy playing video games such as Cities: Skylines, and going to many EDM shows. I’m social but not a big partier. I love travelling and have visited my family in Italy since I was 6 months old. I’m very passionate about non-car centric city planning, which is why I’m going to Amsterdam to study it since I believe they have the best cities in the world. I hope to take that knowledge of the Netherlands and bring it back to the USA to help improve our car-centric cities here. I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s at University of Amsterdam to study Human Geography and Planning, eventually gaining a Masters in a related field. In terms of housing, my preference would be in Amsterdam within a reasonable commute to the Roeterseiland campus, but understand I may need to look further out. I would prefer to live in a private studio, but I’m also open to shared housing. In Denver, I’ve lived with three various other roommates the whole time, and all of us have gotten along very well. I’m very clean and quite quiet, though I do like socializing with my roommates when we’re able to. Having lived with roommates the past 2 years, I’m more than happy to share a space with others and I keep common areas very tidy. I’m excited to meet people from around the world and experience my next chapter.
