Hi! I’m Melike, a recent Computer Engineering graduate from Turkey, Istanbul. I’ll be moving to Enschede in September 15 for a 6-month Erasmus+ internship till March 14 at the University of Twente. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, roller skating and, especially, reading books. I’m an easy-going and considerate person, and I really enjoy spending time with the people around me. I also love cooking for the people I care about, so I’d be happy to occasionally cook and share a meal together. During the week, I’ll mostly be at my internship, but whenever I’m free, I’m always up for having a chat, watching something together, grabbing a drink or simply spending some time together at home. I’m really looking forward to meeting new people and making Enschede feel like home during my time here!

Ik ben een 26-jarige Franse professional en werk sinds ongeveer een jaar als projectmanager in Amsterdam, nadat ik hier een paar jaar geleden al eerder heb gewoond. Hoewel ik nu in Amsterdam werk, is Utrecht (Utreg) altijd mijn veilige haven gebleven. Ik ben op zoek naar een plek om voor minstens 12 maanden thuis te noemen 😊 Een beetje meer over mij: ik ben van nature wat introvert, maar vind het juist gezellig om tijd door te brengen met mijn huisgenoten. Ik hou van een fijne balans tussen mijn eigen ruimte en samen eten, koffie drinken of gewoon gezellig kletsen. Thuis is voor mij de plek om op te laden, dus ik waardeer een rustige en ontspannen sfeer. Ik houd van tuinieren, hardlopen, koffie drinken met vrienden en genieten van de simpele dingen in het leven. Ik geloof ook dat de manier waarop iemand zijn of haar huis inricht veel zegt over iemands persoonlijkheid. Daarom heb ik een paar foto's van mijn huidige plek toegevoegd. Vrienden en voormalige verhuurders zijn altijd verrast door de sfeer die ik creëer met vintage items, antiek en planten 🌱 PS: dat is niet mijn kat, maar die van mijn buurvrouw. Hoi hoi! Ik ben Moritz, 24 jaar, een architect uit Duitsland, en ik verhuis dit komende semester naar Delft om te starten met mijn Master aan de TU Delft. Na een tijdje fulltime te hebben gewerkt (en een jaar in Kopenhagen te hebben gewoond), heb ik enorm veel zin om het studentenleven weer op te pakken. Design en architectuur spelen natuurlijk een grote rol in mijn leven, maar als ik niet aan het schetsen ben, maak ik meestal muziek (met koptelefoon, dus niemand zal er last van hebben :) ), ben ik aan het schilderen of doe ik aan sport. Ik ben op dit moment ook Nederlands aan het leren. Als huisgenoot ben ik relaxed, netjes en makkelijk in de omgang. Ik hou ervan om de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes opgeruimd te houden en geniet van een gezellige sfeer in huis - of dat nu een snelle koffie in de ochtend is of af en toe samen koken. I am Nishita (she/her), a 25-year-old from India. I will join TU Delft as an MSc Mechanical Engineering student this August. I am a pretty tidy and quiet housemate. Growing up, I really loved to read, which has turned into a love for movies and good tv shows. When I am not reading or watching movies, I generally love to cook. Other than that, I enjoy crafts and photography a lot. But sometimes you just gotta bed rot and doomscroll, and I am all for that. I am also very pet-friendly and a non-smoker. On the weekends, I'll probably clean all around the house and then go out to explore the town. If my housemates really love board games, that would be a great way for me to bond. Hallo, mijn naam is Jonas! Op dit moment ben ik een Technische Natuurkunde bachelor student in mijn afstudeerfase. Ik ben van plan om komend studiejaar middels een 1-jarig schakelprogramma de master Biomedical Engineering aan de TU Twente te gaan volgen. Ik ben een gezellige, relaxte jongen die altijd wel te porren is voor wat gezelligheid. Of dit nou uitgaan, een film kijken of een kaart/bord spel is. In mijn vrije tijd (voor zover ik dat heb) lees, game en spreek ik graag met vrienden af. Op dit moment doe ik aan zelfverdediging (Krav Maga) en boulder ik af en toe. Ik heb ook ruim 10 jaar lang hockey gespeeld en het lijkt me leuk om dit weer opnieuw op te pakken in Enschede. Verder heb ik ook nog enige tijd aan fotografie gedaan en hoop ik hier binnenkort weer tijd en inspiratie (en een werkende camera...) voor te vinden. Een extra verkooppuntje van mijzelf is dat ik al ruim 3 jaar in een restaurant werk, zowel in de afwas als de keuken. Zowel schoonmaken als koken zijn dus dingen die ik zo langzamerhand wel door heb. Dingen een beetje schoon en netjes houden zit er bij mij dus wel goed in. Verder vind ik het ook leuk om nieuwe gerechten en recepten te leren.
