Hi! My name is Àlvar, I'm 26 years old and I'm from Barcelona, Spain. This September I'll be moving to Groningen to start the MSc in Molecular Medicine and Innovative Treatment at the University of Groningen. Before this, I completed a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology. I also worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where I participated in drug discovery research for retinal degenerative diseases. Besides my research experience, I have also worked in Regulatory Affairs, which has helped me become organised, responsible and used to working in professional environments. I'm looking for a place where everyone feels comfortable, respects each other's space and enjoys a friendly atmosphere. I'm a tidy, quiet and considerate person. I don't smoke, I don't have pets and I'm not someone who throws parties at home, although I do enjoy having dinner, watching a movie or sharing a drink with housemates from time to time. Outside university I enjoy going to the gym, hiking, cycling and discovering new places. I'm also looking forward to meeting people from different countries and making Groningen feel like home over the next few years. Ideally, I'm looking for a long-term room, as I plan to complete my Master's degree and hopefully continue my career in the Netherlands afterwards. Hallo! Ik ben Ivash, een 19-jarige student en ik ga dit jaar beginnen met de studie Industrial Design Engineering aan de Universiteit Twente. Ik ga regelmatig naar de sportschool en ben altijd in voor sportieve activiteiten. Daarom ga ik natuurlijk zodra ik kan bij een sportvereniging aansluiten. Daarnaast ben ik gek op (bord)spellen en zeg ik nooit nee tegen een gezellige avond samen. Momenteel heb ik een tussenjaar en werk ik als ober in een lunchroom.
