We are a couple from Romania (parents of two daughters, who are now students in Groningen), around 50 years old, and we recently moved to the Netherlands. The reason for this was the desire to financially support our daughters in completing their studies, in order to have better paid jobs and more stability. In the country, I worked as a textile engineer (pattern maker), and my husband in the electrical engineering field. Currently, we both have secure jobs here in Groningen, providing us with a stable income to comfortably cover our rent and living expenses. We are very quiet, non-smoking people who value cleanliness and order. We have a great track record as renters, with positive experiences living in shared environments, and we never receive complaints. We are currently staying with friends until the end of July. They are incredibly happy with how we care for their space (and their cats!), and we can gladly provide their reference if needed.. Regarding the accommodation you offer, we think it is exactly what we are looking for. A lot of the accommodation in the Netherlands is rooms in student houses, and does not accept working people. So we are looking for a quiet studio or apartment, where we can rest, cook after a day of work, and study (we are learning English and Dutch at the moment). Nothing more. The size of the space is really irrelevant to us, and as long as it is okay with you, we are perfect to live together in this space. We have lived in small spaces all our lives.

Ik ben een 6 VWO leerling uit Kerkrade (Zuid-Limburg) en ga Werktuigbouwkunde studeren aan de TU Delft. Rondom deze omgeving zoek ik daarom ook een kamer! Bekijk zeker mn foto's ! ! Ik ben een vrij rustig persoon, maar niet ongezellig (hoop ik). Ik spreek graag met vrienden af om wat te eten of om te sporten: ik boulder graag met hun, heb lang gevoetbald (en als vrijwilliger gewerkt als jeugdtrainer) en doe ook aan krachttraining. Buiten sportieve hobby's ben ik ook graag creatief bezig: naaien, video-editen (je ziet me in een kantooroutfit in Heerlen-Centrum voor een videoproject) en grafisch ontwerp zijn allemaal dingen waar ik me bezig heb gehouden. Verder ga ik ook graag naar concerten: ik luister veel genres, maar de concerten waar ik heenga zijn vooral opkomende artiesten in de underground rap of edm scene (2hollis, fakemink, Frost Children, Underscores, etc..). Ik hoef niet per se een fan te zijn om mee te gaan, ga namelijk ook vaak gewoon met vrienden naar artiesten die ik niet goed ken. Het feit dat ik vrij rustig zal zijn komt ook doordat ik een gefocust student ben: het gymnasium heb ik met een 8,8 afgerond. Ik heb lang gezeten bij de debatvertegenwoordiging van school en heb veel gedaan met MEP (Model European Parliament). Ook heb ik meegedaan aan Olympiades, het Technasium (O&O) afgerond en veel wedstrijden (bv. wiskunde wedstrijden) gedaan voor school. Verder ben ik als Chinees in Nederland opgegroeid: thuis spreken we Chinees en eten we Chinees. Ik heb ook lang gezeten op de Chinese school, vanaf al zolang ik dingen kan onthouden eigenlijk. Aangezien mn ouders erg lang en tot laat werken, heb ik altijd al een grote verantwoordelijkheid gedragen voor het schoonhouden van het huis. Als lezer wil ik u/jou vooral meegeven dat ik, ongeacht wat er van mij verwacht wordt als huurder, me goed kan aanpassen aan de wensen van de verhuurder. Mijn naam is Boris van Dongen en ik ga in september beginnen met technische natuurkunde in Twente. Mijn voornaamste hobby is videogames, maar ik vind alles wel leuk zolang ik het maar met andere mensen kan doen (behalve monopoly). Ook vind ik koken leuk, of het nou een simpele pasta is of een uitgebreide maaltijd. Ik werk in de Albert Heijn en ben van plan om dit ook in Twente te blijven doen. Ik heb de afgelopen tien jaar op atletiek gezeten, maar ben daar inmiddels mee gestopt om iets nieuws te zoeken. Ik zit nu vooral te kijken naar boulderen en volleybal. Ik rook ook niet en drink (nog) niet. Ik ben iemand die het best gezellig vindt om een keer een uitstapje te doen naar de stad of een andere activiteit zoals sinterklaas of kerstdiner. Tegelijkertijd heb ik soms ook behoefte aan wat tijd voor mezelf om even op mijn kamer te gamen of gewoon niks te doen. Ik zoek hierbij dus vooral naar een combinatie van de twee, waarbij er dus altijd tijd is voor een praatje bij het ontbijt of een colaatje in de avond en ook ruimte om jezelf even terug te trekken. Ik hou erg van actieve vakanties, waarbij ik bijvoorbeeld ga wandelen in de bergen of skiën. Ik ben geen strandmens, je zult mij nooit bruin zien of bruin zien worden. Ik hoor graag terug als er vanuit jullie ook interesse is, en hoe er dan een hospiteeravond geregeld wordt.
