My name is Andreas, :)) 23, from southern Germany. In September I'm moving to The Hague to start a one-year master's in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University, and I'm looking for a room I can settle into for the whole duration of my studies, not just somewhere to sleep between lectures. The thing I care about most in a shared home is trust, simply being someone you can rely on, whatever kind of day it's been. I'm quiet and easy to live with, but sociable too, I genuinely enjoy cooking, a shared meal or a beer in the evening, and I can just as happily have a calm night in. It really depends on the mood, I read the room and fit in. I like a home that actually works, where the kitchen gets used, where I do my share without being asked, and where I'll fix a small thing rather than let it sit. I'm tidy, low-drama, and I've never minded picking up a little slack for people I live with. Alongside my studies I intend to work as well, so my days are structured and my rhythm fits a working household. Hey toekomstige huisgenoten/verhuurder, Ik ben een derdejaars bachelorstudent (22) en ik zoek een plek in de regio Haaglanden, bij voorkeur in Den Haag of Leiden. Momenteel woon ik in een antikraakpand in Den Haag waar de sloopplannen binnenkort plaatsvinden. Daarom ben ik dringend op zoek naar een nieuwe woonplek! For the past five years I've built and run the quality systems behind medical devices , most recently as senior QA officer on an autonomous medical robot, and now as quality and risk lead at Niavicta, where I'm also co-founder. I'm originally from South Africa, where I worked in medical device regulation before moving to the Netherlands in 2023. I've been in Utrecht since then, so this would be a local move rather than a fresh start, I know the area and I'm settled here. Outside work I'm at the gym a few times a week and I walk a lot; it's how I get away from a screen. The rest of my free time mostly goes into programming , I'm usually building something, learning a new tool, or taking a system apart to see how it works. As a housemate I'm tidy, self-sufficient and easy to live alongside. I cook properly, clean up after myself, and I'm not someone who fills the house with people. I like coming home to a calm place at the end of the day. I'm not a student, which in practice means a steady income, a predictable weekday routine, and no plans to move out at the end of a semester.
