I'm coming to UT in September to study the Bachelor in either Applied Mathematics or Technical Computer Science (I was intending to do both, but I'm not so sure if can manage that - I'm not the best in time management). I prefer to keep things clean and I can cook, e.g. light gulash, bolonese-ish (maybe not anything elaborate, but still edible and usually tasty). I'm a gamer, recently I've been switching between Minecraft, The Sims 4 and Civilization VI. If you add Overcooked and Jedi: fallen order to the mix, you'll have the general view of my gaming taste. I also like playing board games. I'm a Star Wars fan. I enjoy sightseeing. I've recently travelled to Rome in order to see an exhibition of Caravaggio's paintings and Vatican museums. I've been to Amsterdam before. I've also travelled to other European countries, i.a. Germany, Spain, Lithuania and Slovakia. I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie (I find rollercoasters a bit boring). I've heard there's a laser tag in Hengelo and I would love to try it.

My name is Ida, I’m 23 years old, from Germany, and I’ll start my Master’s in Conflict Studies and Human Rights on 01/09 in Utrecht. I study serious things (Political Science and International Law), but live life with a healthy dose of laughter, curiosity and travelling. In Detail: I studied Political Science and International Law in Marburg (Germany), then did an internship in Göttingen at an international human rights organisation, and afterward chose the Master’s program in Utrecht. I would say I am very reliable and always stick to agreements due to my previous jobs - in elderly care, COVID testing stations, event management, and weddings - as well as my volunteer work, where many people rely on me for organisation and financial planning, I’ve developed a strong sense of responsibility and reliability. I’ve been living in rental places for the past five years and have always communicated well with landlords (in addition I do not smoke, do not celebrate any parties and prefer to be the guest not the host for friends). For the past few months, I’ve been in Morocco – teaching at an English-French school in Casablanca, hopping from beach to city to desert, and possibly eating my body weight in tagine. I speak English and French fluently, studied Russian and Arabic (because apparently I hate easy hobbies), and now I’m diving into Dutch! Reading goes well (thanks, German roots), speaking… I am working on it! During my entire Bachelor I lived in shared flats, and even during my internship — where I only stayed for four months — my roommates became like a little family. We lived in a small house with four guys and three girls and I developped a lot in handcrafting. I enjoy cooking in the evenings and love spending time outdoors — hiking, walking, reading (especially historical drama or coming-of-age novels) or swimming in the morning or evening are my favorites. In my hometown I am a Girl Scout and enjoy our international exchange and hikes! I am searching for a clean room in Utrecht. My prefered date to move is between August and beginning of September.
