Greetings! I am 21 year old student from Chennai, India, who recently graduated from the University of Essex in the UK with a Class I honors in BSc Politics and International Relations. I am moving to the Netherlands to pursue an Advanced Masters in International Relations and Diplomacy in Leiden University's Den Haag campus. My flight is scheduled to reached Netherlands 17th Morning. So I am looking forward to rent a room from either 15th or 16th or even the day I land. I am a non-smoker, neat, tidy and organised person as I have lived abroad in the past as well as studied briefly in boarding school. I am quite amicable with everyone as I tend to have friends from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Amongst other things, I was a head of student media and film and public speaking society executive at the University of Essex. I also collaborated with the Essex County Council, which is a major local government body in the United Kingdom for my final year dissertation. My findings helped further mitigate the effects of mis/disinformation on ethnic minorities as well as preserve social cohesion.

Vorig jaar was ik begonnen met de studie Aardwetenschappen maar dat bleek helaas niet mijn match te zijn. Nu ga ik opnieuw in Utrecht studeren, dit keer Liberal Arts and Sciences (een hele mond vol)! Super leuk, alleen heb ik nog geen kamer :) Toen ik vorig jaar nog studeerde woonde ik ook al in Utrecht maar ik ben daarna terug naar huis verhuisd om de kosten te drukken. In mijn vrije tijd reis ik graag in mijn eentje de wereld af, kitesurf en roei ik. En bak ik hier en daar een lekker gebakje. Ik ben net geslaagd en ben op zoek naar een woning in Groningen. Nu woon ik nog in Almelo dit is vrij ver weg van Groningen, hierdoor ben ik dus op zoek naar een woonplek in Groningen. Graag wil ik een eigen keuken in de woning door mijn interesse in koken, verder zoek ik voor een woning die er net uit ziet. Zelf ben ik sportief, zo ga ik graag naar de sportschool en heb ik zo’n 6 jaar rugby gespeeld. Ik houd van netheid en zal een kamer nooit erger achterlaten dan ik er kwam. Verder ben ik ook zeer verantwoordelijk, en zal afspraken na komen. Overigens ben ik ook tweetallig opgevoed en beschik hierdoor over een hoog niveau Nederlands en Engels. Het is ook heel makkelijk met mij om te gaan.

Hi! My name is Lilike, I'm 21, and although I'm originally from Germany, I grew up in the UK and Japan. For the past three years I've been living in the Netherlands, and am looking to stay longer term. I’m starting a (research) Masters in Developmental Psychology at Utrecht University in September and am looking for a room in Utrecht. I’m planning to stay for at least the duration of my studies (two years), but I want to build my career here, so I’m looking for somewhere I can really settle into. Financially, I will be working part-time alongside my studies. If a guarantor is needed, my parents are happy to sign for that. I'm a non-smoker, have no pets, and am generally very clean. I have shared a kitchen and bathroom before, and also lived with a host family. From those experiences, I appreciate having the company after a long day :) Finally, I do dance classes and like to draw in my free time.
