Sinds september 2025 ben ik met mijn eerste baan gestart als onderzoekstechnicus/onderzoeker bij de microbiologie afdeling aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, echter woon ik nu nog in mijn studentenstad Wageningen wat een reistijd van (minimaal, als het OV meezit) 4 uur per dag met zich meebrengt om op mijn werk en thuis te geraken. Daarnaast zal ik in juli 2026 mijn huidige woning uitgezet worden, waardoor ik op zoek ben naar een nieuwe woning idealiter een stukje dichter bij mijn werk :). Ik ga zorgvuldig om met mijn woonruimte en vind het belangrijk dat een woning schoon en netjes blijft. Ik heb een vast werkritme en ben doordeweeks vooral gericht op werk en ontspanning thuis. In het weekend vind ik het gezellig om af en toe iets te ondernemen met vrienden, maar thuis hecht ik vooral aan rust en ontspanning. Heya! My name is Tomás (Thomas works too), I'm Portuguese, from Lisbon, and moving to Delft in September for my first year at TU Delft. First time living abroad, pretty excited about it. I'm very into sports. I run (half marathons and mountain trails), swim and cycle regularly, and I'm working towards doing an Ironman at some point. Also go to the gym pretty often, no leg days though 😂 I’m social in a pretty natural and low-pressure way, I like hanging out, but I’m not forcing it. I’ll join for shared meals, spontaneous plans and fun sidequests. I just like a place where everyone feels comfortable and natural, i’ll do whatever you guys are down for. I’m not loud or chaotic, but I’m definitely not closed off either, somewhere in the middle I keep things clean, I take the shared space seriously and have no issue with chores or general house stuff. Also still figuring out cooking but it's a work in progress 😂 Also pretty into tech, I can go deep on it if you're curious or completely shut up about it if you're not English isn't my first language but I use it constantly and it's never been an issue. In Lisbon, tourists and immigrants often think I’m not local because my English sounds fluent without a strong or weird accent.
