Op dit moment ben ik tweede jaars toegepaste psychologie student op de Hanze in Groningen, maar ik begin volgend jaar aan de opleiding Psychologie op de UU. Door deze verhuizing van opleiding ben ik opzoek naar een kamer in Utrecht of een dorp/stad in de omliggende omgeving. Ik ben van nature een sociaal persoon en kan ook rustig overkomen, daarom heb ik ook voor psychologie gekozen. Hiernaast kan ik het ook heel leuk vinden om dingen te doen met toekomstige huisgenoten zoals huisavonden! In mijn vrije tijd luister ik veel muziek, lees ik hier en daar een boek en ga ik ook met een zekere regelmaat naar de sportschool. Ik zoek op dit moment een kamer waarbij het vooral heel gezellig kan zijn, maar dat iedereen ook een beetje hun eigen leven lijdt. Daarnaast hoop ik gewoon een leuke tijd te kunnen hebben in het mooie Utje!

My name is Dionysios Chatzoulis, though my friends call me Dion, and I am 21 years old (soon turning 22). During my studies, I developed a strong interest in drug development research, which inspired me to pursue a master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry at Radboud University. This position provided valuable financial support and strengthened my sense of responsibility and independence. Last summer, I received funding to conduct my first research project, focusing on the Fries Rearrangement reaction using alternative heating sources. My goal was to explore greener catalytic methods for a reaction widely used in the production of pharmaceuticals (such as paracetamol), fragrances, pesticides, and textile dyes. This experience confirmed my passion for research and my desire to contribute to scientific development. Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active. I was part of my university’s basketball team for the first 2 years and continue to play as a hobby. In my free time, I also enjoy walking and listening to music.
