My name is Fernando Rodríguez Barroso. I am a third-year student at Leiden University, studying International Relations and Organisations (Political Science). Born and raised in Jerez de la Frontera, I am Spanish and lived there until I was 18, when I went to study in the United States for a year. I have been living in The Hague for two years now, but my connection with the Netherlands goes back much further, thanks to a close friendship with a family in Amsterdam that began over eight years ago. I speak Spanish and English fluently, and I already have a good command of Dutch, although I intend to keep improving it until I can speak it with complete fluency. For the time being, I plan to continue studying for my master’s degree in the Netherlands, as I feel very at home in this country and its culture. I consider myself a friendly, sociable and open-minded person who adapts well to new situations. I like to keep things tidy and create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable. I’m also an active person; I currently play for a local football team and enjoy going out with my friends every week.

Hoi! Ik ben 22 jaar en kom uit Amersfoort. Momenteel zit ik in mijn afstudeerjaar van de opleiding Social Work. Naast mijn studie werk ik in een bakkerij en restaurant.
