I'm Ryan, 21 years old and looking for a room in Rotterdam. I just finished my thesis for my bachelor's in Business Analytics at the University of Amsterdam and will be starting the master's in Econometrics and Management Science at Erasmus University next year, probably starting with the pre-master. During my entire bachelor's I lived with my parents in Hilversum, very nice and relaxed, but I'm more than ready to finally move out. After my six-month exchange in Hong Kong I realised how great it is to live on your own. In my free time I'm very into sports, I played football my whole life but at the moment it's mostly going to the gym and running. I'm also hoping to pick up bouldering once I'm in Rotterdam. Other than that I'm sometimes behind my PlayStation and I enjoy a beer with friends. I'm a calm guy who values his own time, but also definitely enjoys good company. I like a clean and tidy house, enjoy cooking and would love to eat together every now and then.

Hello, I'm Emilio. I’m 22 years old and will be 23 in May 2026. I was born and raised in Napa, California but have lived in Denver, Colorado for the past 2 years. I have three citizenships, American, Italian and Canadian. I speak English and some Italian, but no Dutch (yet!). I love travelling and have visited my family in Italy since I was 6 months old. I’m very passionate about non-car centric city planning, which is why I’m going to Amsterdam to study it since I believe they have the best cities in the world. I hope to take that knowledge of the Netherlands and bring it back to the USA to help improve our car-centric cities here. I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s at University of Amsterdam to study Human Geography and Planning, eventually gaining a Masters in a related field. In terms of housing, my preference would be in Amsterdam within a reasonable commute to the Roeterseiland campus, but understand I may need to look further out. I would prefer to live in a private studio, but I’m also open to shared housing. In Denver, I’ve lived with three various other roommates the whole time, and all of us have gotten along very well. I’m very clean and quite quiet, though I do like socializing with my roommates when we’re able to. Having lived with roommates the past 2 years, I’m more than happy to share a space with others and I keep common areas very tidy. I’m excited to meet people from around the world and experience my next chapter.
