What can add more special experience during your stay in Leiden? Live in a Boathouse! Boathouse is a unique culture in the Netherland and there are only 190 boathouses in Leiden. 
This unique boathouse was converted from a real steel boat from the 19th century. You can still see the original characteristics of the boat. It is one of the earliest boathouses of its kind in the Netherlands. It locates in a quiet area in the city centre. Leiden attractions, museums and the shopping centre, supermarket are within walking distance from the boat. 
The boathouse has total size around 75m2, two bedrooms, one living room, one dinning room, kitchen, toilet and bathroom, a laundry/storage room and a balcony. In the living area there is an air-conditioner to keep you comfortable in the hot summers. In the master bedroom, the skylight above the two person’s bed allows you to enjoy the blue skies and starry nights. From there is a small balcony where you can enjoy the view of the canal.  The upstairs bedroom/study room overlooks the beautiful canal. The toilet and bathroom are separated. In the kitchen has gas stove, oven/microwave, dishwasher, fridge, kettle and a Nespresso machine.
The boathouse is fully furnished.
