Hoi! Ik ben Valesca. Op dit moment ben ik bezig met het schrijven van mijn scriptie voor de studie Communicatiewetenschap aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Ik studeer af in de richting Corporate communicatie. Na deze opleiding wil ik de master journalistiek aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen gaan volgen. Daarvoor volg ik ook nog de minor Journalistiek aan de RUG volgend jaar. Ik kom uit een redelijk groot gezin (we zijn met zijn 7en thuis), dus ik ben wel wat drukte gewend. Mijn hobby's zijn sport (fietsen en fitness), reizen en ik vind het hartstikke leuk om te bakken!

Hi! My name is Alicia. I have been studying Philosophy at the Radboud University for the past year. Right now I am living independently in a room in Nijmegen. Unfortunately this is temporarily, as the contract will be expired in a few months. Because I fell in love with living by myself and the beautiful city Nijmegen, I would really like to be able to stay there. That is why I am looking for a new room. Not only do I have a lot of love for the city Nijmegen, I also love the friends that I have made there and the study I am doing there. I would characterise myself als spontaneous, extroverted and creative. I love meeting new people and getting to know them. While I really enjoy being with other people, I also enjoy spending time alone every now and then. It is in these moments that I like to go to the gym, or just engage in any physical activity in general. Other hobbies of mine are reading, learning (esp. new languages), chilling with friends, going on adventures (could be just in the city, but I also really like to travel the world), meeting new people and playing the piano every now and then. My first language is Dutch, but since my mother is Ukrainian I am also able to speak some Russian. Besides that I also am able to speak English.

While I'm not immersed in my hobbies, you can usually find me studying in the library or enjoying some movies with friends. As a neat person I really enjoy living in a clean and organised space. As such, I am open to communication and compromise for maintaining such an environment. For example in my current accommodation I took the initiative and helped create a sense of community with my floor mates. My ideal living place is very flexible and I can either cook and party together or respect the peace and quiet of an individual while doing my own thing.
