Op dit moment ben ik tweede jaars toegepaste psychologie student op de Hanze in Groningen, maar ik begin volgend jaar aan de opleiding Psychologie op de UU. Door deze verhuizing van opleiding ben ik opzoek naar een kamer in Utrecht of een dorp/stad in de omliggende omgeving. Hoi! Mijn naam is Lily, ik word in september 18 jaar en ik ruil het bruisende Brussel binnenkort in voor het mooie Utrecht. Vanaf het nieuwe collegejaar start ik aan de Universiteit Utrecht met de Academische Pabo. Ik wist al vroeg dat ik het onderwijs in wilde, en deze studie is voor mij de absolute droomstap. Thuis in Brussel ben ik een gezellige en levendige boel gewend: ik woon daar met mijn ouders, mijn broertje van 10 en mijn tweelingbroertje en -zusje van 4. Door dat dynamische gezin ben ik heel zorgzaam en zelfstandig ingesteld, heb ik geleerd om goed tegen een stootje te kunnen en weet ik als geen ander hoe je rekening houdt met elkaar in één huis. Omdat Utrecht een gloednieuw avontuur voor me is, zoek ik niet zomaar een vierkante meter, maar een gezellige thuisbasis. Ik ben perfect tweetalig (Nederlands en Frans) en spreek ook Engels, wat handig is in een internationale stad. Daarnaast neem ik graag wat Brusselse gezelligheid mee naar Utrecht: ik ben altijd in voor samen eten, borrelen of een filmavond, en als goedmaker voor mijn Belgische accent wil ik best een keer echte Vlaamse stoofvlees of wafels voor het huis maken! Uiteraard snap ik de balans tussen gezelligheid en studie, en is ook schoonmaken of een eigen taak in huis oppakken voor mij de normaalste zaak van de wereld. Hello! I'm Rúben and I am from Portugal. I'm a pianist and a newcomer to Maastricht. My musical interests vary a lot but I have a particular deep passion for both contemporary music and video game soundtracks. I am part of a quite active quartet and so most of the time I am busy scheduling concerts and rehearsals for us. My hobbies are quite minimal: reading, writing a bit, and playing on the Switch. At least twice a week I also like to go out running, truly only so I can say I do some sport. Now about behaviour, although I am quite social I am a very quiet person, this means that I will always try to the little noise with others around (however, just to be clear, if left alone, I may just leave music a bit loud...). I also like to schedule my time on the kitchen, I usually cook for the next two to three days so I'll be taking at least 1h30/2h of the kitchen's at least twice or thrice a week. I am Jira, Nigerian, 24, lived in the Netherlands for almost 7 years, previously living in Ireland and Nigeria in the past. I am looking for a home in Rotterdam as I aim to start my master's degree in September. I had previously lived in Rotterdam, so I have quite some knowledge of the city and would be able to fit in seamlessly with any kind of roommate. In terms of personality and what to expect, I would say I am quiet naturally but have the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and converse for a long time. I am an aspiring model and gym enthusiast I also love gaming and movies especially thrillers. Additionally, I love sports, like football and basketball, and play football as well. In terms of financial situation, I currently am a full-time student, but i have a guarantor – my mother – who will be paying the rent. She earns in excess of 8,000 euros per month, and the rent will not be a problem at all. Payslips and proof of income can be sent immediately upon request. Lastly, I possess good knowledge of the Dutch language and am getting better day by day, and I think I would be an ideal roommate for anyone, both male and female.
