I grew up listening to rock thanks to my dad, started playing electric guitar, and over time developed a broad taste that includes everything from progressive rock to rap. Buiten de universiteit blijf ik graag actief. Sport speelt al lang een rol in mijn leven. Ik heb meer dan 12 jaar op hoog niveau gezwommen, en tegenwoordig breng ik een deel van mijn vrije tijd door in de sportschool of op de tennisbaan. Dat vind ik leuk én ontspannend. Muziek is een andere grote passie. Dankzij mijn vader ben ik opgegroeid met rockmuziek, ben ik elektrische gitaar gaan spelen, en met de tijd is mijn smaak breder geworden, van progressieve rock tot rap. Op dit moment richt ik me op het opbouwen van een evenwichtig en betekenisvol leven hier in Nederland, waarin zowel mijn studie als persoonlijke ontwikkeling centraal staan.

I’m Afonso, a 27-year-old composer from Portugal, and I’m moving to the Netherlands this August to begin a two-year Master’s in Film Composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, which starts in September 2025. I’m a professional music composer with a background in classical and jazz composition, working mainly in film, theatre, and concert music. While music is my career, my work at home is very quiet, mostly using headphones, my laptop, and keyboard. I’ll do all sound-based or recording work at the Conservatory, so I won’t be a noisy tenant 😊 I’m looking for a room or apartment in Amsterdam or in a nearby city with good public transport access (Utrecht, Haarlem, Zaandam, Almere, etc.). I’m flexible when it comes to shared or private housing, I’m friendly, easy to live with, and used to sharing spaces respectfully. Hello! 🙂 I’m Sotiris and I’ll be studying Healthcare Policy, Innovation and Management at Maastricht University. I’ve finished with my Bachelor Degree in Accountancy and Finance (specification in Market Law) and now I’m working for the season in luxury hotel. I’m looking for a place to live in order to proceed with my studies. Actually I’m coming to Maastricht early of August, which is my ideal renting period as well. July is also a good month for me, If something good appears. I want to rent for 12 months and I’m also open for more, since I plan to make my career in the Netherlands. I do not have pets nor I smoke. Moreover, I have a family member as a guarantor who he is from the Netherlands and I also have another family member that lives in Greece (where I am from). I’ll go ahead and introduce myself: - First of all I value keeping the place clean, a lot! Basically this is the essential on having a good roommate relationship with whomever - As a human I’m pretty much direct and chill, always able and willing to communicate everything and make it work with everyone. I’m currently living together with another roommate and used to live with other 2 (for my work) and we were/are all happy. - Also, I value other people’s personal space and time and so therefore I can respect others and calm and quiet - At my free time I like to find ways to communicate with people, go to the gym or just find a good spot to people watch with a good beer. Hiking and skiing is also in my list, as much as reading books and watching movies. - A fun/weird fact about me?
