Hoihoi, ik ben Aigui (19) en ik ben op dit moment op zoek naar een kamer in Utrecht. Ik studeer geschiedenis aan de UU en zit op dit moment in mijn tweede jaar. Ik ben actief bij de studievereniging van geschiedenis, waar ik volgend jaar een bestuursjaar doe!! Ik zit nu in meerdere commissies en ik vind het heel leuk om op een sociale manier dingetjes te regelen en te organiseren. Zo zit ik nu in een commissie die pubquizen en stadsuitjes organiseert. Daarnaast turn ik bij de studententurnvereniging. Daar haal ik allerlei trucjes uit. En ben ik soms net wat onvoorzichtig en ga ik vaak met coolpack naar huis :( Ik heb dus al een eigen leven in Utrecht opgebouwd en ik zou het dus ook super leuk vinden om er te wonen en ook een goede band op te bouwen met huisgenootjes. I’m Selma — 20 years old, part Greek and part Albanian (I’ve got both passports) and I moved to Amsterdam almost two years ago. I work full-time in hospitality: I’m a tour guide at the Rijksmuseum and also do front office shifts at two hostels. Life stays busy, but I’m used to it. I’ve lived both alone and with roommates here in the city, so I know how to respect a shared space and keep things clean and easy. I’ve also dealt with the classic Dutch rental chaos — so yes, I’m fully aware of how contracts, rules, and responsibilities work. I’ve had my own flat for over a year now, but honestly? Living solo gets lonely, and it’s just not worth throwing money at. I thought having my own place in the center was the ultimate flex, but I realized it’s not really it, especially for someone like me who’s still figuring out where life will take me after these next few years I plan on spending in Amsterdam. Another big reason I’m looking to switch is to be smarter with my money — I’d rather invest in experiences that actually make me happy, like traveling or the occasional festivals. I don’t throw house parties and I don't go out much aside from events here and there. I do occasionally host friends from abroad (just a couch and good vibes — nothing disruptive).
