Hey, my name is Lia, I am a 23 year old political science student from Germany. I am currently working on my bachelor thesis and will be graduating in July. Afterwards, I plan on starting my masters degree in Crisis and Security Management at the campus The Hague of Leiden University. I’ve already been offered a spot, hence the search for a room. In my spare time, I enjoy all sorts of exercise, preferably riding the bike or playing basketball. During my bachelors degree in Bonn, I was playing semi professional in a Division II team and I look forward to maybe joining a team in The Hague. Apart from sports, I really enjoy baking and meeting new people as well a exploring new places by foot. I am a pretty chill person and have experience in sharing spaces (grew up with two younger sisters), as well as in living alone for four years during my bachelor’s.

In addition, the campus is located next to the ice skating rink—the sport of my dreams, which I am unable to practice in Italy. So living in Leiden would allow me to study the subject I love and practice the sport I’ve always been passionate about, but have never been able to pursue competitively. For all these reasons, finding a home in the Netherlands is not just a logistical necessity, but a way to realize my life plan. I wish to settle in a quiet and welcoming environment, and as a responsible, organized, and tidy person, it would be an honor to take care of the home as if it were my own.
