I’m Afonso, a 27-year-old composer from Portugal, and I’m moving to the Netherlands this August to begin a two-year Master’s in Film Composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, which starts in September 2025. I’m a professional music composer with a background in classical and jazz composition, working mainly in film, theatre, and concert music. While music is my career, my work at home is very quiet, mostly using headphones, my laptop, and keyboard. I’ll do all sound-based or recording work at the Conservatory, so I won’t be a noisy tenant 😊 I’m looking for a room or apartment in Amsterdam or in a nearby city with good public transport access (Utrecht, Haarlem, Zaandam, Almere, etc.). I’m flexible when it comes to shared or private housing, I’m friendly, easy to live with, and used to sharing spaces respectfully. I’m clean, responsible, and enjoy cooking(especially cooking for others). I don’t smoke or have pets, and I value a calm home environment. I lived with housemates throughout my studies, so I'm very comfortable living in shared spaces. I keep my spaces clean and also always appreciate having a cleaning schedule. Hoi! Ik ben Mélanie, 22 jaar, en ik begin volgend jaar aan de master Applied Linguistics in Groningen. Momenteel doe ik de pre-master Language Variation & Multilingualism in Nijmegen. Wat over mij: ik ben rustige, nette en vriendelijke huisgenoot die houdt van een gezonde, actieve levensstijl. In mijn vrije tijd ben ik vaak bezig met muziek. Ik luister alles van pop en K-Pop tot rockbands, dans graag (HipHop, Afro, K-Pop), en ik drum in een band (geen zorgen, mijn drumstel blijft netjes in de oefenruimte dus jullie oren zijn veilig!). Daarnaast leer ik graag talen (zoals Japans en Koreaans), en geef ik als vrijwilliger Nederlandse les aan internationals bij een taalcafé, superleuk en dankbaar werk.
