Hello, my name is Benedetta and I am looking for a room to rent in The Hague. I'm Italian and I live in Rome. I will start the BA of International Studies at Leiden University, at The Hague campus in September. I'm a polite, quiet and independent girl since I already lived abroad by myself last year in Vancouver - Canada for an exchange year. I'm looking for a no-smoking house for at least a one year long period because I will hopefully stay in The Hague for at least three years. I need a regular contract for the registration at the municipality, and I need the room from August 2024, but if I find the right solution I can anticipate the starting date of the contract.

I have already obtained a degree in Comparative Literature Studies and will be starting another Bachelor in Psychology in September of 2024 at Leiden University. Therefore I am currently on the lookout for possible housing opportunities, where I can stay for the duration of my studies. I consider myself an easy-going person, who enjoys a little company from time to time, but can easily keep to myself as well. In the past I have already had lots of experiences living by myself as well as host families. Therefore I believe that I am rather knwoledgeable about how the process of renting a room and the interactions and obligations that come with it work. Momenteel ben ik bezig met de (pre-)master "Molecular Sciences" aan het RU, nadat ik afgestudeerd ben van het HBO in Enschede. Daarom ben ik op zoek naar een kamer in Nijmegen, zodat ik momenteel niet 2,5 uur op en neer hoef te reizen naar Almelo. Ik ben een erg sociaal persoon en vind het altijd wel leuk om een praatje met iedereen te maken. Daarnaast ben ik een grote Formule 1 fan en ben ik iedere maandagavond in een café te vinden om competitief te darten met mijn vrienden. Ik houd van een nette en opgeruimde omgeving voor mezelf maar ook voor mijn huisgenoten en vind dit dan ook erg belangrijk.

I'm not much of a party person so I spend my free time discovering Amsterdam, trying different foods with friends or just hanging out in my room watching a movie. But generally, I spend most of my time in the library studying. I also don't drink or smoke, would rather buy some nice pastries or coffee instead haha. If I say so myself, I'm a pretty chill person, definitely very clean and just generally like to keep the atmosphere around calm and peaceful. But I'm also down for a fun night, just need my 8h of sleep haha.
