Hi, I’m Evalina, soon to be 20 years old and currently studying the bachelor communication science at the wonderful Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I have always been a curious and open-minded person which is why after my a-levels I realized that I wanted something new and exciting in my life, so I decided to study abroad. Amsterdam as a city was the perfect match for me, because even though I don’t speak Dutch yet (but I am going to learn it with the beginning of May), everyone speaks English and since it is not very far from Germany, I am still able to visit my family regularly. For the first year of my bachelor, I was one of the lucky students to get student accommodation. I am sharing the apartment with another girl and we are both very organized, clean and tidy. But due to an age difference of 8 years she treated me rather like a “little sister” than an equal roommate. This made me realize that for my next accommodation I am not just looking for a place to stay but I am looking to find a home as I am planning on doing my masters as well in Amsterdam. In my free time I love to travel all around the world, do fun activities with my friends but also to have a chilled movie night. Regarding sports in really enjoy doing Zumba as well as tennis. You may wonder why I am the perfect roommate for you? I already have experience in living and running a household on my own. I am responsible and clean, and i prefer a chilled evening at home over hosting a party. I hope that i made you curious to get to know me better and I am already looking forward to meeting you! :)

I am a scientist and a very quiet and open-minded backpacker travelling through the world and able to have good contacts with anyone whatever his/her age. I plan to spend 2 months in Amsterdam. I’m a 22-year-old student and will start my MSc degree at Erasmus in September. Currently I live in Eindhoven, where I completed my bachelor’s degree. In my time here I come from Poland, however I have lived most of my life in Ireland (13 years), before moving to the Netherlands for university. During my time in Eindhoven, I helped organise activities from my study association, I did a student team part-time and was part of a volleyball team for 3 years, so I like to keep myself busy. In Eindhoven most of my friends were Dutch and spoke Dutch to me, so I can almost fluently understand Dutch, and speaking is a work-in-progress. While I enjoy social activities, I am also an ambitious student; I completed my BSc in 3 years and will follow 2 MSc programs. I am outgoing, but also like to relax at home from time to time whether it is board games or watching a series. I am a tidy person and always clean up after myself. I enjoy cooking and know how to make a meal or two. What I value in a house is a relaxed atmosphere, where there are people to just chill with, but where I can also find some space for myself to relax.
