Ik ben per 1 mei op zoek naar een studio of appartement in Utrecht omdat ik mijn huidige woning moet verlaten. Ik ben een rustige en nette huurder, niet-rokend en zonder huisdieren. Hello there! I'm a self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) who relocated to the Netherlands from the U.S. in February. I have a valid visa & residence permit, a business registered with the KvK, a growing network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having previously spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, where I'm and am temporarily staying. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Bussum, Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Naarden, LOVE Baarn, Hoorn, Haarlem, Amersfoot and Den Haag - where I have friends. I'm aware of the housing shortage, and will happily consider any availability within a 90-minute commute by public transportation to Amsterdam, where much of my work seems to be. I have an excellent rental history and personal references and I care for my space. I have a green thumb, love people, adore animals, art, am newly enthusiastic about golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! I would love my independence and a studio or apartment, but I also understand the housing shortage yields few or unaffordable rentals, so I'd be open to discussing sharing in a bright, comfortable place with someone kind and respectful, who appreciates some privacy and room to breathe. :) I have no pets, but huge bonus if you do! ;) Registration is necessary. Hey my name is Nicholas, I’m 22 years old and I’ll be starting International Studies at Leiden University in Den Haag this year, so I’m currently looking for a room in either The Hague/Den Haag or Leiden (other places work too, just in the general surrounding region). A little bit about me: I grew up in Switzerland with a Brazilian background, so I’ve always been surrounded by different cultures, languages and perspectives. I speak German, English and Portuguese fluently, understand quite a bit of Dutch already (bc it's very similar to German/English), and I’m currently studying it seriously because I really want to integrate properly into Dutch life and culture as quickly as possible.
