Hi! I’m Hafiya (Fiya), a 19-year-old Communication Science student from Indonesia, currently doing an exchange at the University of Groningen until the end of January 2027. I’m currently staying with my aunt in Leiden while searching for my new home in Groningen, so I’m already in the Netherlands and happy to come by for viewings! A little bit about me: I’m a film enthusiast, I love photography, exploring cafés and new places, and trying (and cooking!) different kinds of food. I enjoy having a cozy home where people can relax, share stories, and occasionally have a nice dinner or coffee together. I’m an open-minded and respectful person who really values a comfortable living environment. I’m happy to adapt to different lifestyles — whether you have pets, specific house rules, prefer not cooking certain foods, or have your own way of living. I’m also very tidy and don’t bring many belongings, so if you ever travel or need someone to keep an eye on your room while you’re away, I’d be happy to help take care of it. I graduated this month from University College Utrecht (legal philosophy) and I am on a gap year. I am shifting my focus to the arts before my masters and am looking to build my portfolio, and find work in the creative sector, all the while having a law publication that is in process. I'm queer and a very solitary person. My sponsor is my parent, a established Supreme Court lawyer in Pakistan, who'd pay inspite of my capacity.

First and foremost, I am: Exceptionally tidy, attentive and respectful of the property:  even smallest issues/damages don't go unnoticed and are dealt with by me. Financially stable:  I work ~32 hours a week on average, make around €2400 monthly and €29k annually gross, have decent amount of savings and I am very mindful of my finances. No debts or loans. I have been working at FedEx Duiven for over 20 months as a forklift driver. I work through a work agency, however my position is 100% firm there with no realistic possibility of me getting laid off. I currently have the option for a permanent contract, but I cannot take it since I am depended on the work agency housing. I intend to stay in the country and Gelderland area for a long time as I've permanently left my country of origin Lithuania. Very quiet:  no music, no partying, no loud noises. No drinking or any substances nor smoking. I prefer mostly solitary way of living with my lifestyle revolving around mindfulness, self inquiry, meditation. Respectful to those around me:  while I don't speak Dutch and am not particularly social, I am polite at all times and I keep in mind the wellbeing of others. I am willing to be involved in any matters that are important for the landlord or community. Honest and transparent in all matters. I am 33 years old. No pets. I am single. I am able to provide all necessary documents. My reason for moving is that I consider home environment to be very important to my overall wellbeing. A fully independent space is a goal of mine, it would be a great improvement to my current living conditions and open up new opportunities.
