Hi! My name is Àlvar, I'm 26 years old and I'm from Barcelona, Spain. This September I'll be moving to Groningen to start the MSc in Molecular Medicine and Innovative Treatment at the University of Groningen. Before this, I completed a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology. I also worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where I participated in drug discovery research for retinal degenerative diseases. Besides my research experience, I have also worked in Regulatory Affairs, which has helped me become organised, responsible and used to working in professional environments. I'm looking for a place where everyone feels comfortable, respects each other's space and enjoys a friendly atmosphere. I'm a tidy, quiet and considerate person. I don't smoke, I don't have pets and I'm not someone who throws parties at home, although I do enjoy having dinner, watching a movie or sharing a drink with housemates from time to time. Outside university I enjoy going to the gym, hiking, cycling and discovering new places. I'm also looking forward to meeting people from different countries and making Groningen feel like home over the next few years. Hi, I'm Clara! I am a 24 year-old German who is looking to move to Utrecht for my Masters. From September onwards I will study "Social Challenges, Policies, and Interventions" in Utrecht and after a few years in Nijmegen I am now ready to make a new city my home. Besides my studies I love to be in nature, work on creative projects like knitting or sewing, cook, play Volleyball, and spend time with my friends. From my time studying in Nijmegen I already have lots of experience living with other people and like to think that I am a clean, open-minded and uncomplicated roommate to live with. While I don't speak Dutch fluently yet, I understand it almost fluently and am also doing a course to further learn the language! For my new home I would prefer to live with roommates that also like to spend time together every now and then but I also understand that this is not always possible, which is okay. I am a fun person to be around and like both going out and staying in. I'm very tidy and clean. I also value and respect other people's peace. I like cooking so it's highly possible I will be in the kitchen from time to time. During the weekdays I will be at the university from 10am-4pm. Other than those I really like basketball and working out. I will be definitely joining a gym. I also like techno a lot, but worry not, I enjoy it in my headphones.
