Hey everyone, I'm looking for a flatmate. The bathroom, toilet and room on offer have been renovated. You'll be sharing the kitchen, bathroom, toilet, hallway and balcony, usually with one other, sometimes two. The balcony (10 m) is overlooking the Sloterplas (small lake). With the renovation we also got a new fridge and cooker, incl oven, a microwave, coffee machine, toaster, etc. I'm cheerful, very open-minded, life and globe wanderer, love travelling, culture and language a lot, so tbh I actually have a big preference for a flatmate from one of the languages I speak. But of course a personal match and fit with the friendly and quiet flatmate and neighbours in the building is way more important! I'm generally engaged into some kind of startup or creative project. Also, I teach languages. I'm often out working, or at my boyfriend or in town a lot, though I can also work from home. We're looking for a flatmate who works full-time during office hours as well and is internationally oriented and open-minded. We'd like the apartment to be tidy and quiet, as our neighbours are. We do like a party, but that's not possible at our home in this older concrete building since many of our neighbours have quite some life experience (many are 65+, although a new younger crowd is growing) so it's a great place if you're also looking for a quiet place to live. We also always ask our new flatmate to agree with the major rules of the building which you can already search on 'hogguerstraat major house rules' We respect other people's privacy as I like to have my own as well. We're extrovert and sociable though but often work and live our own lives. All in all, we believe a friendly, easy going and open-minded atmosphere and a relaxed ambience is the nicest to live in for most working people without kids.

Op het moment studeer ik in Zwolle aan het Hogeschool Windesheim, maar na dit jaar wil ik graag doorstromen naar de RUG om Engelse Taal en Literatuur te studeren! I’ve been living in shared apartments for about 7 years now, so I’m very used to keeping shared spaces clean and cozy 🧼 I’d describe myself as a friendly and sociable person: I love having a chat or sharing a meal with flatmates, but I also enjoy quiet evenings at home reading or watching Netflix. I’m usually really quiet because I hate loud noises and I need peace to concentrate ahaha Luckily, I’ve already built a small circle of friends here in Utrecht and I’m having a lot of fun here!! I usually hang out with my friends to do craft nights, dinners, concerts or simply to have a beer after dinner 🍻 I love cooking (especially pasta, lasagna, and tiramisù, but my grandma’s recipe is unbeatable tbh 🍝) and I’d be happy to share some Italian food when we’ll eat together! A bit of background: I’m originally from a town near Rome but I moved to Milan at 18yo. I studied and worked there before coming to the Netherlands, which I’m really loving so far.
