7893 Tenants in Netherlands

I am a scientist and a very quiet and open-minded backpacker travelling through the world and able to have good contacts with anyone whatever his/her age. I plan to spend 2 months in Amsterdam. As I often travel in the Netherlands, my goal is to meet Dutch people and to learn the language with them. I am looking for a 2 months rental from August 1st to September 30th.

I am renting out some space from my apartment. Since I also will stay in the apartment I will be your host (not a student), and as we may spend some time in the same apartment it may be a good idea to share some info about myself. I am broadly interested. I consider myself a social person. I like to be in contact with other people from all kinds of origin and like to talk about all kinds of subjects. I am an alpha as well as a beta person, I am into technical stuff as well as into languages. I do a lot of fitness at home. I have done all kinds of interesting things mostly on the area of IT, but have stopped working on a fixed position for a while now. I am not the type working with a fixed agenda, I eat when I want, sleep when I want, go out where and when I want, but I am quite punctial with my appointments and rules. Also I keep all my business in good order. I am rather experienced with renting to expats, young foreigners and Dutch people, though not in the house where I live myself, so this is new to me, but I am open to new things.

Ik heb op het moment een tussenjaar en ben van plan in September te beginnen met de bachelor Astronomy op het RUG. Ik hou heel erg veel van muziek en speel viool/piano. In mijn vrije tijd vind ik het leuk om te gamen, tv te kijken en tekenen/schilderen vind ik ook heel leuk. Ik ben van nature heel rustig en heb ook veel tijd voor mezelf nodig maar ik vind het wel leuk om soms met vrienden iets leuks te doen.

Hoi! Ik ben Nienke, bijna 22 jaar oud, en kom uit Brabant. In september begin ik aan de studie geneeskunde in Utrecht. Ik heb al 2 jaar studentenleven kunnen meemaken, en heb een jaartje in Maastricht op kamers gewoond. Ik weet dus alle do’s en don’ts van het samen wonen met anderen. Ik hou van buiten wandelen of in het zonnetje zitten met misschien een spelletje erbij en leuke muziek. Je hebt als huisgenoot zeker geen last van mij. Ik ben rustig en daarnaast waarschijnlijk vaak aan het studeren. Wel vind ik het leuk om bijvoorbeeld samen even te relaxen of frisse lucht te halen,te koken of gezellig samen klusjes in huis doen. Ook ben ik graag duurzaam bezig en zal ik bijdragen aan een netjes huis met lage energie- en waterkosten :)

Hey, I'm Jana, 20 years old, from Frankfurt Germany. I will start my international bachelor's degree in psychology in Leiden in September. So I'm looking for a room in Leiden/near Leiden from June/July/August on. About me: I graduated from high school last summer and decided to travel Europe. There I worked in different hostels and always shared a dorm with the other lovely volunteers. The 4 months have taught me a lot about being independent and tidying up my stuff and keeping things clean. But it helped me even more to learn to share a room with so many other people from other cultures and to live together and set boundaries as well as to accept those of others. Apart from traveling, I love going out with friends for a few drinks, dancing to house music and wine evenings on the balcony. On the other hand, I also love having really quiet evenings where we just sit together relax, chat, maybe cook and watch a movie. In my free time I go to the gym regularly. And just recently I've gotten to do yoga and Pilates a little more, which I also really enjoy. I am also a very creative person who likes to do crafts, paint or make pottery. And I also enjoy doing it with friends! About the room I would imagine a room around 15 m2 in size. But more important about the roomies. 1-3 roommates would be ideal - but I would have absolutely no problem with a larger number of roommates. Of course it would be great if the roommates were about the same age as me. Of course, I think it would be ideal if at some point as roommates you share hobbies and do things together((:

I am Carmen, 29, originally from Austria and currently, I work as Marketing Manager at a Sales company in Houthaven (and loving it!) Initially, I moved here to study, but, eventually, I fell in love with the Netherlands and decided to stay 🤍 Where do I live now and why am I moving? Currently, I live in an apartment in Nieuw-West with one roommate, however, my rental contract was only one year, so now is the time for me to look for a new place I can call home. When am I moving? I am looking for a room from June onward but I am flexible and can also move in sooner! Am I tidy? I am Austrian, I think being organized and tidy is in our DNA 😄 But seriously, I think when sharing your living space it's important to clean up after yourself and just be considerate of one another (and have open communication!) Who else am I bringing? No one! It's just me and my 3 plants (but they are barely hanging on for dear life… so we'll see if they make it) BUT I am always buying fresh flowers (see picture as a reference 🌸) What do I do when I am not working? Generally, I am a quite quiet and relaxed person. Since my job is very demanding, I am usually tired when I get home. However, I am always up for a chat :) Weekends I either spend with friends at a nice brunch spot, go to a museum, the gym, or a nice walk, or just relax with a nice book. Am I a party girl? On a good day, I barely make it to 11.00 pm before I hit the bed 😴 but then again, if you wanna have a glass of wine in the kitchen and talk about life...say less 🍷 Some other things you should know? I don't have any pets, I don't smoke and I would like to rent a room for at least 1 year, but preferably longer if that's possible. I will be moving to Groningen to study Human Geography and Planning (starting 1.9.2024). Currently I live in Hannover, Germany and work as a software developer in a small company. I would like to live in a shared flat to get to know the culture and of course the language. It would be great if the flat was within biking distance from the university, but more importantly it should have a good atmosphere and nice flatmates. I have been living in shared flats for the last 8 years, so let's say I have some experience in living with people.
