Hi, I’m Evalina, soon to be 20 years old and currently studying the bachelor communication science at the wonderful Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I have always been a curious and open-minded person which is why after my a-levels I realized that I wanted something new and exciting in my life, so I decided to study abroad. Amsterdam as a city was the perfect match for me, because even though I don’t speak Dutch yet (but I am going to learn it with the beginning of May), everyone speaks English and since it is not very far from Germany, I am still able to visit my family regularly. For the first year of my bachelor, I was one of the lucky students to get student accommodation. I am sharing the apartment with another girl and we are both very organized, clean and tidy. But due to an age difference of 8 years she treated me rather like a “little sister” than an equal roommate. This made me realize that for my next accommodation I am not just looking for a place to stay but I am looking to find a home as I am planning on doing my masters as well in Amsterdam. In my free time I love to travel all around the world, do fun activities with my friends but also to have a chilled movie night. Regarding sports in really enjoy doing Zumba as well as tennis. You may wonder why I am the perfect roommate for you? I already have experience in living and running a household on my own. I am responsible and clean, and i prefer a chilled evening at home over hosting a party. I hope that i made you curious to get to know me better and I am already looking forward to meeting you! :)

Hi! Leuk dat je mijn profiel bekijkt. Ik ben Mara (21 jaar) en ben op zoek naar een kamer in Nijmegen. Sinds september 2023 studeer ik Psychologie op de universiteit van Nijmegen. De stad en de studie bevallen mij zeer! Ik ben in Zürich (Zwitserland) geboren en opgegroeid, maar mijn moeder is Nederlands, daarom spreek ik ook de taal vloeiend. Naast psychologie ben ik geïnteresseerd in fitness/hiking, yoga, natuur, zingen/dansen, verschillende culturen&talen… Ik ben van aard relaxt, rustig, grappig, lief, empathisch en volwassen.

I’m a 19 year-old Italian student, who is looking forward to studying physics in Groningen from the next academic year so I think I will move here at the end of August. I love discovering new places but more than anything meeting people from other countries and different cultures, I'm veryy friendly and I can easily connect with everyone. I really like soccer and watching matches in company. While I like being around people, I'm very calm and also need some time alone, in fact one of the things I need during the day is meditation and I'm looking into starting practicing yoga, I also really like reading books and listening to music. I would love an environment where I can share my spare time with my roommates by doing things like watching football or tennis matches, playing table games watch movies or series together. And at the same time I would like a setting that gives everyone their own space and time to study peacefully. Last but not least, I’m a very tidy person and I like order so I will take care responsibly of my future accommodation.

I am looking for a room or a studio, preferably in a house with other students. I am a very respectful and polite person and I always managed to create long lasting friendship everywhere I went. During my studies, I have lived in Canada (for an exchange programme in High school), Groningen (for my bachelor) and Tokyo (doing my minor for my bachelor degree). I am a very positive person. I always have a joke to say and cheer you up. I really like playing music, rock climbing, playing squash, having movie nights. But the thing that I love the most is cooking and food. It really just makes me happy.
