I will be studying on Groningen this year and hope to find affordable accommodation for the year. I am quiet, enjoy staying indoors, reading and focusing on my studies. I love taking things easy and going on walks and going out to restaurants. One of the most important things to me is respect, with that I am very respectful towards any neighbours, the area I live in and the place I will live in. I don't mind having roommates but would prefer to contact each other before hand.

Other than that I'm a freelance (zzp) boat captain and on the weekends I do volunteer work as a scouts leader. My main passion is travelling though. I've been traveling on and off for two years. It's amazing to be able to see the world, learn about other cultures and meet lovely and inspiring people all over. Sam is a great example of that. I started at the TU last year and my temporary accommodation is expiring 1st May 2025 so I am looking to join a flat. I like to cycle, hike, camp and occasional have some drinks with friends, I like to cook especially for people so I would be happy to join a cooking rota.

I’m Selma — 20 years old, part Greek and part Albanian (I’ve got both passports) and I moved to Amsterdam almost two years ago. I speak English, Albanian, Greek & Italian fluently and can understand a fair bit of Spanish and some Dutch as well. I work full-time in hospitality: I’m a tour guide at the Rijksmuseum and also do front office shifts at two hostels. Life stays busy, but I’m used to it. I’ve lived both alone and with roommates here in the city, so I know how to respect a shared space and keep things clean and easy. I’ve also dealt with the classic Dutch rental chaos — so yes, I’m fully aware of how contracts, rules, and responsibilities work. I’ve had my own flat for over a year now, but honestly? Living solo gets lonely, and it’s just not worth throwing money at. I thought having my own place in the center was the ultimate flex, but I realized it’s not really it, especially for someone like me who’s still figuring out where life will take me after these next few years I plan on spending in Amsterdam. Another big reason I’m looking to switch is to be smarter with my money — I’d rather invest in experiences that actually make me happy, like traveling or the occasional festivals. I don’t throw house parties and I don't go out much aside from events here and there. I do occasionally host friends from abroad (just a couch and good vibes — nothing disruptive). I’m clean, chill, and respectful — I believe in creating the kind of environment I’d want to live in, and I treat others the way I’d expect to be treated.
