Hi! My name is Gaia (21yo) and I am starting a (pre-)Master at the University of Amsterdam in September, where I will be studying political communication. I lived in Amsterdam for 6 months during my bachelor’s degree as an exchange student. During this time I was living in an apartment with 9 other people, so I can safely say that I am used to sharing a space and all the things that come with it. I enjoy biking around the city, reading, cooking and going to markets; I enjoy being social and getting to know other people but also want some time by myself. I speak Italian and English, but I’ve also just started learning Dutch.

Having lived in the Netherlands before, I am capable of understanding some dutch, speaking it myself still poses a great challenge (I’m on it, I promise 😔) So far, I’ve not only shared an apartment to save money but to also do activities with my flatmates. From just talking in the evenings, playing board games to going out together etc. and I would like to continue doing so. But of course, everybody needs his/her privacy as well, especially after long days at uni. I’d describe myself as a clean and tidy person and I'd like my roommates to contribute to a clean flat as well.
