I have been accepted for a Master’s degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and Marta will be starting her Master’s at the HKU in Utrecht this fall. ​We are looking for a long-term place to call home. Regarding our finances, we are both planning to find part-time jobs while we study and we will be applying for the DUO student finance and housing allowance (huurtoeslag), which ensures we can comfortably cover the rent. ​We have already secured a temporary place from August 3rd to August 26th, which gives us some time to settle in and meet in person if you’d like. I am Jayana, and I will be starting my Research Master in Art History at Utrecht University this September. Now, my next step is to find a new room to call home in or around Utrecht! I hold dual nationality, Swiss and Portuguese, which makes me an EU citizen. I also wanted to mention that I speak English, French, and a bit of German. A little about me: I just finished my Bachelor's degree at the University of Groningen, where I lived for 3 years in a shared flat with 5 other international girls, and I genuinely loved it. I found a family abroad and would love to do that again. I know exactly how to share a flat: I'm tidy, clean, and respectful of everyone's space, while also being sociable and open to building real friendships with my future roommates, not just living under the same roof. I love a night out, but I'm just as happy spending an evening at home playing board games.
