Hi, I'm Nico. I’m from London, I’m half Spanish and half Indian, and I speak English and Spanish (and am starting to learn Dutch). After studying maths at Cambridge, I’ve spent the last two years teaching in schools, and now will be starting the Mathematical Sciences MSc in Utrecht in September. I take my studies very seriously, but I'm eager to make friends and lots of memories. Besides learning (maths, science, philosophy, history, etc.), I love music (listening and sometimes playing/singing) and chilling with friends, as well as parkour, bouldering, and videogames from time to time. If I had to pick particular characteristics, I would describe myself as open, thoughtful, and easy-going, and as a resident I am clean, careful, and considerate.

Heyhey! Ik ben Richard, 21 jaar oud en momenteel woonachtig in de omgeving van Alkmaar. Ik ben bezig met het afronden van mijn hbo-bachelor Technische Bedrijfskunde, waar ik ook het honoursprogramma heb gevolgd. Je kunt me herkennen aan mijn vrolijke en enthousiaste houding, daarnaast zit ik altijd vol energie. In mijn vrije doe ik hierdoor ook aan atletiek/hardlopen, om de energie iets van nuttig te gebruiken. Komend studiejaar ga ik beginnen aan mijn (pre)master Strategic Management, en daarom ben ik op zoek naar een kamer in Tilburg waar ik een geweldige tijd tegemoet kan gaan. Ik ben medeoprichter van een succesvolle startup samen met medestudenten, die in samenwerking met verschillende partners circulaire ‘bakjes’ produceert voor de zorgsector. Daarnaast ben ik op dit moment nog parttime militair, wat me discipline en een sterk gevoel van kameraadschap heeft bijgebracht. I am a motivated 3rd-year Data Science student at the TU/e and TiU, passing all of my courses with high grades. Furthermore, my commitment to self-development allows me to be on track to obtain the cum laude honor on my diploma. In my professional life, I am highly ambitious and this led me to seek and fulfill an internship at ASML. (I intend to take on new challenges when studying in Amsterdam). As a tenant, I am very tidy, organized as well as peaceful. And of course, I transfer every payment on time :). In my free time, I love playing chess - I’ve been competing at the national and international level since I was eight years old, which allowed me to become a medalist at multiple national championships (I also won the Dutch Student Chess Championship in 2023). Thanks to this experience, I am a chess coach which allows me to earn around 300-400 euros a month and gives me a lot of fun. Furthermore, apart from my personal income, I am also financially supported by my family and their income greatly surpasses the rent. Overall, I am a very respectful person and do not cause any disturbance, while also taking care of the place I live in. All this makes me believe that I would be a perfect fit for your apartment.

Let me tell a bit more about myself: I was born and raised in the Netherlands and have studied business and innovation in Groningen and Newcastle. I love to travel and go on outdoor adventures. Last year I went hiking for 3 weeks in the Annapurna region in Nepal, this was amazing and I can really recommend it. Next to that I like to do rock climbing and am currently training for a mountain marathon. Now I may seem like someone who can't sit still or whatever but I am a actually a very calm housemate who likes to chill, experiment with cooking, listen to all sorts of music ranging from jazz to hip-hop and from indie to techno (I'll bring my hi-fi set, you'll love it). I'm always down for a drink/borrel and like to go to a festival or a bar every now and then! Apart from this I work full-time as a consultant in the IT-sector and like to work at home from time-to-time. Ah yea, I have a lot of plants, hopefully I can bring them! I'm originally from Latvia, but grew up in Ireland, and can easily say I get on well with people from all backgrounds and walks of life :) I consider myself a very responsible, clean, and organised (and quiet!) individual, and do not mind sharing facilities at all (since I have only ever lived in shared accomodation here in Groningen). Hi there! I am Alina, moved to Amsterdam just a couple weeks ago from Berlin. I am currently renting a room in a shared flat in the south of Amstelveen. Unfortunately it is too far for me to stay there longterm. I cycle everywhere and go to the office 5 days/week (close to Amstel station), so it's just not going to work longterm. I am quite social and extroverted out and about, but prefer a clean and quiet oasis as my home.

I was born in the UK but my nationality is Dutch. Lived in the Netherlands for a few years but moved away and unfortunately lost my ability to speak the language.
