Hello! My name is Isabelle and I am originally from Canada but I was raised by a Dutch mother and Greek Father. I grew up going to the Netherlands to visit my family often and I consider it a second home. I was recently accepted into the Master of Museum and Heritage Studies program at UvA and I will be starting my studies at the beginning of September. For my Bachelors I focused on art history and gender representation. I am super passionate about supporting under-represented artists in museum and exhibition settings. In the future I would like to work in a museum, gallery or organization that shares these goals. I am looking to move into a cozy living space either by myself or with a few roommates. I would prefer a room that is partly or fully furnished, as I will be moving with only a few suitcases. Personally, I am quite tidy and I really make an effort to keep personal and shared spaces clean. I am looking for roommates that also value a clean space. I love both social time with housemates and time when we can be independent. Having roommates that speak dutch would be awesome as well. I really want to become completely fluent. I love to cook and try out new recipes, so having a fully equipped kitchen is important. As for my hobbies, I enjoy gardening and getting outside for walks/runs. I love to sew clothes and crochet. I also love to go out for a dance once in a while, listen to live music and cook dinner for my friends:) My school program is full time so I will likely be in class or studying at the library most of the week. I’ve been awarded the L-EARN for Impact scholarship, which covers both tuition and living expenses. I am quite familiar with having roommates, as I lived in 4 differents flats during my studies both in London and Edinburgh! As a flatmate, I’d describe myself as tidy, open-minded, quite easy going and very considerate of others. I enjoy spending time with the people I live with, whether that’s cosy dinners. a good chat over a cup of tea or drinks! That said, I also value quiet time sometimes, and I’d love to live with people who appreciate that balance too. It seems like I will be quite busy next year between uni and a part-time job I just got. Hoi! Ik ben Hugo, 26 jaar en ik werk inmiddels ruim een jaar als cloud developer bij een IT bedrijf. Mijn huidige woonsituatie verandert dus ik ben met spoed op zoek naar een fijne plek om te wonen. Liefst met andere jonge werkenden maar een studio of rustige kamer is ook helemaal prima. Mijn hobby’s zijn behoorlijk divers. Ik ben gek op bord- en digitale spellen, ben weg van de Japanse cultuur, en speel graag keyboard/luister naar allerlei soorten muziek (met koptelefoon, dus geen zorgen over geluidsoverlast!). Daarnaast ben ik altijd te vinden voor een goed gesprek en houd ik van gezellige avonden met vrienden, of het nu gaat om samen koken, een film kijken of gewoon lekker kletsen. I have a UK guarantor and proof of finance through my visa application. The guarantor's gross monthly income is €11000. I received my full deposit back from my last renting and I was also a lead tenant.
