I am German but I grew up in South Africa and have been living in Groningen since august 2024. I am very academically driven, and am passionate about my degree. In my free time I enjoy painting, drawing, playing piano and reading. I also love working out at the gym and doing sports like cycling. I value cleanliness and hygiene in my living space, so I am very clean and organized. When it comes to roommates, I find it important that we can get along and be friendly but also respect each others space.

Hi! I'm Yannick, 21 years (I'll be 22 by the time I'm moving) old and originally from Thuringia, Germany. I just finished my Bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce and will start my Master’s at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) in September. Until then, I’m working and preparing for the move – including improving my Dutch! I’m looking for a furnished (or partly furnished) studio, apartment or a room in a shared flat in Rotterdam, Vlaardingen, Schiedam or Capelle aan den IJssel. My budget is around €800/month (including bills), and ideally I’d like to move in sometime in August (July is also possible). As a roommate or tenant, I’m respectful, calm and tidy. I enjoy a clean and relaxed environment but I’m also open and social when the moment calls for it. I don’t smoke and I’m easygoing when it comes to food – just not a fan of mushrooms 😉. Outside of work and uni, I stay active: I’ve been playing football since I was a kid, I go to the gym, run regularly and love to cook for friends and family. On weekends I’m always up for social events or a good party, but I balance that with a healthy and active lifestyle. I plan to stay in Rotterdam for at least the full duration of my Master’s (1 year, possibly longer). I’m excited to find a welcoming place to call home – and I’m happy to contribute to a positive living environment!

Although I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, both my parents are professionals that moved from Argentina to the US, so I speak both English and Spanish and I am flexible to adapt to different cultures.
