Currently I am absolving a voluntary social year in Philadelphia, USA. During this year I am living together with 2 other German volunteers in our own apartment. After three years of work, I started following a Master's in Political Science at the VU and am looking for a room with one or more roommates (x/m/f) from the end of May (flexible). I am familiar with various forms of cohabitation and am known as a conscious, clean, reliable and sociable roommate. Expect lavish (vegetarian) cooking and good conversations. I also like to just quietly read a book on the sofa. Leaking john? Broken shower head? Things of the past. A proper espresso machine and good kitchen equipment will move along with me.

Mijn naam is Yente van der Veen, ik ben 21 jaar en ik woon sinds de zomer van 2022 in Groningen. Ik ben opgegroeid (met mijn ouders en zusje) in Winsum, ik heb mijn VWO-diploma behaald op het Werkman Stadslyceum in Groningen en ik volg nu de Engelstalige studie Spatial Planning and Design aan de RUG. Bij deze bachelor staan ruimtelijke planning en ruimtelijk ontwerpen centraal en leer je meer over infrastructuur-, milieu- en watermanagement. De studie bevalt me erg goed, met name het designcomponent vind ik een erg leuk onderdeel! Anderen omschrijven mij als een sportieve, rustige, onafhankelijke en vrolijke meid. Ik vind het leuk om met anderen te kletsen en een drankje te doen, maar ik vind het ook fijn om op mijn eigen kamer te relaxen. Mijn hobby's zijn o.a. hockey, skiën, reizen, het kijken naar voetbal, hockey en de grandprix en social media. Ik ben lid van een commissie van de faculteitsvereniging en ik ben bij de hockeyclub betrokken als scheidsrechter en lid van de PR commissie.
