As of now, I have 2 more academic years remaining in my studies, and I am looking for a stable, supportive, and well-connected living environment that will allow me to focus fully on my academic and personal development. I am currently residing in SSH accommodation (Upsilon building). But I need to leave this arrangement due to my contract being for short stay, meaning I am allowed to stay at that place for the period of studying only during the first year. At this point of my life, I am very concentrated on my studies. I like to spend my free time playing sports and watching films or just mastering my cooking skills, making traditional dishes. I am an American living in Groningen, studying for my PhD in astrophysics at the RUG. I studied at Georgia State University, where I earned my Bachelors and Masters degree in physics and astronomy. My thesis involves gas dynamics in galaxies across cosmic time, and how that might affect how galaxies evolve. I also am active in outreach events in the city, which brings astronomy to the general public! Outside of academics I enjoy listening to new music, experimenting with fashion, watching my favorite comfort shows, and making small crafts to decorate. I am looking for a home that I can feel comfortable in, and a space I can make feel like my own. :)

My current housing contract is ending soon so I’m looking for a new place to call home :) I would love to move into a shared apartment with some sweet roomies, since I truly enjoy living with others <3 A bit more about myself: I grew up in Germany but the last years I spend abroad (mainly in Latin America) working and traveling. I’ve always lived together with people that last years so I’m used to the typical co-living rules and I enjoy sharing a home. Last year I decided to move to Amsterdam to study anthropology and I’ve been enjoying the city and the people a lot! I’m outgoing, I love seeing concerts, going to parks and cafes but I also enjoy staying at home and having some good foooood and chats :) I’m part of a gymnastic team and I go boulder quite often. I also like music, I have my little keyboard with me here in Amsterdam.
