Hey! I'm Lukas, 25, originally from Germany, and I'm moving to Amsterdam in autumn to start my first job after finishing my master's. I'll be working as an AI engineer, focusing on computer vision. I can provide contract information and pay if needed. I've been living in shared flats since I moved out at 18, in a few different cities, so I know what makes flat life work. I'm tidy, quiet and respectful of other people's space. Ideally I'd love a place where we get along and sometimes hang out, cook together or grab a drink, but where everyone also gets their quiet time when they need it. In my free time I play piano (its a digital one and i have headphones dont worry) and try to stay active with tennis, running and the gym. I speak English fluently and I'm learning Dutch. My contract is for one year, but it could turn into a PhD. For now, I am just testing the waters of trying to be a scientist. I’ve just finished my studies in London, and I’m really excited to begin my first “real” job. A small heads-up: I don’t speak Dutch yet (only German, English and Spanish-ish), but learning it is the plan. I’m easygoing, love to cook (mostly veggie) and generally uncomplicated to live with. I’ve lived in shared flats for many years and genuinely enjoy it. Whether the flat is more social or more on the quiet side, I’m happy with both - as long as we are not just co-existing as strangers.
