I am 27 years old and am planning on moving to Arnhem in October for 2 years to Study at ArtEZs Werkplaats Typografie Programme. Currently I live in Düsseldorf, Germany – which is also where I am from. So visiting Arnhem or the general area for an interview would be no problem. I speak fluent English and German, but do not speak dutch yet (but I plan on learning some dutch in the next few months and while I am there). Some info about me that may be interesting for you: I eat vegetarian leaning to vegan (at the moment), I enjoy cooking and sharing meals with people I get along with. I love music but rarely listen to loud music at home (I much prefer going out instead). I enjoy going on frequent walks and just sitting in the park with a friend, a book or a good album. I consider myself a tidy person, so a cleaning schedule is right up my alley. Since my current home (Düsseldorf) is not very far away I may spend periods of time there to stay with my girlfriend or meet friends, e.g. during semester breaks, or they might come to visit Arnhem.

I am an urban designer specialising in the conservation of cultural heritage. I have a background in urban design and architecture, with degrees from Bilkent University (undergraduate), the Dessau Institute of Architecture (DIA) in Germany (masters), and a PhD from METU. My research focuses on historic public spaces and multi-layered towns, and I have been fortunate to work on various cultural heritage projects in Ankara. Currently, I teach at Başkent University, where I guide undergraduate and graduate students in urban design and conservation. I joined TU Delft as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment and in June, 2025. I will be living alone during my studies in TU Delft, and I am hoping to find a home nearby. Outside of my academic work, I enjoy exploring historic cities and, after a long break due to a car accident, I’ve recently returned to playing tennis—a passion that brings me a lot of joy. Momenteel woon ik al een paar jaar met plezier in een woongroep in de Bijlmer, maar ik merk dat ik graag wat dichter bij de stad zou willen wonen. Ik zou het leuk vinden om een huis te delen met mensen die houden van samen koken, koffietjes drinken, een serie of film kijken, of af en toe een klein projectje doen (denk: plantjes verzorgen of een huis een beetje opknappen). Thuis hou ik ervan om te lezen, creatief bezig te zijn (ik schilder en maak digitaal werk), muziek te luisteren, en te kletsen.
