I am going to study mechanical engineering at TU/e and I am searching for a room to stay for at least 6 months or a year. I want calm environment with social people where I can focus on my studies but also adapt the country.

Hi everyone! I’m Nils, 24, and about to start my Master’s degree (Modern and Contemporary History) in Utrecht after wrapping up my Bachelor’s in Political Science and History. I’ve spent the last 10 years working in gastronomy as a bartender and waiter – first in my father's restaurant back in Nuremberg and later while studying in Mainz. It keeps me on my toes, makes me easy to talk to, and taught me how to actually keep things clean without being weird about it. Having lived in WGs for the past 4 years, I know how shared flats work: I completely respect personal space, but I’m always down for cooking together, grabbing a cold beer, or having a good chat in the kitchen (I also love cooking for people while trying out new recipes). When I’m not studying or working, I’m usually into photography, music, and politics. I’ve been more or less active in grassroots politics for years, through which I’ve met incredible people and gained new perspectives, keeping me pretty open-minded and engaged with what’s going on around me. Ik heb inderdaad een tussenjaartje genomen om wat meer van Europa te verkennen. Voor mij is dit dus ook de eerste keer dat ik op kamers ga en kijk er vooral heel erg naar uit. Ik kan met vrijwel iedereen goed omgaan en voel me snel comfortabel op een plek. Zelf hou ik veel de natuur en ben ook leiding op scouting. Ook doe ik aan boulderen en paragliding.
