I am very excited to begin this new chapter in the Netherlands and am now looking for a comfortable, quiet place to live while I focus on my studies. Architecture has been a strong interest of mine for a long time because it combines creativity, problem-solving, design, and the way people interact with the spaces around them. Outside of school, I enjoy drawing, reading, spending time in nature, and staying active through outdoor activities and sports. I would describe myself as friendly, honest, responsible, social and respectful of the people and spaces around me. I have had the opportunity to travel to several countries in Europe, as well as the United States, and those experiences have made me curious about different cultures, cities, and ways of life. Hoi! Ik ben Ishara, 22 jaar oud, en momenteel bezig met afstuderen in Toegepaste Psychologie. Vanaf september start ik aan een nieuwe bachelor Psychologie aan de Radboud University. Sinds mijn 18e woon ik al op kamers in Nijmegen en inmiddels heb ik hier echt mijn eigen leven opgebouwd. Op dit moment woon ik in een studentenhuis met een vrij zelfstandige kamer (eigen keuken en ongeveer 30m²), maar ik merk dat ik nu toe ben aan een volgende stap: een eigen studio of appartement waar ik wat meer rust en mijn eigen ritme kan hebben. Ik ben erg zelfstandig, rustig en netjes. Ik hou van een schoon huis en ben eerlijk gezegd een beetje een stress-schoonmaker, er gaat dus wekelijks wel een doekje over alles heen en de stofzuiger wordt regelmatig gebruikt 😄. Ik ga niet vaak uit, organiseer geen feestjes en ga respectvol om met mijn woonomgeving. Natuurlijk heb ik soms vrienden of familie over de vloer, maar verder leef ik vrij rustig. In mijn vrije tijd hou ik van lezen, spelletjes spelen, samen eten met vrienden en gewoon gezelligheid opzoeken. Ik zoek vooral een fijne plek waar ik me thuis kan voelen. Omdat ik volledig op mezelf ga wonen, vind ik het ook belangrijk om goed en open contact te hebben met een huisbaas/verhuurder en duidelijke communicatie te hebben met elkaar. Ik hoop een fijne, rustige plek in Nijmegen te vinden waar ik voor langere tijd met plezier kan wonen!

Hi, I'm Keshini. I'm from Mauritius and I moved to Utrecht in August 2025 to pursue a BSc in Economics and Business Economics at Utrecht University. I have been living here for 7 months now, and I've been loving it since! I'm very grateful for my parents to be financially helping me with tuition fees, living expenses as well as rent so I don't need to worry about money, but I'm also working a part time job to boost my CV and gain more experience in general. I have also been very active in the student life at Utrecht University ever since I moved here. I've volunteered as a Peer Leader for the university's welcome week in August, and I'm the Chair of the Wellbeing Committee of ECU'92 at Utrecht University. I'm responsible for leading the committee and organising events and dividing the tasks among members. So far, we've organised several events such as a karaoke night, a Chess Tournament and also a Hiking activity and many more to come! I'm also really into fitness; I go to the gym at least twice a week and do yoga or pilates at home sometimes. I love reading and travelling as well, especially solo travelling.
