Hello! My name is Emma, and I'm originally from the US but have been living in Amsterdam for one year. This summer, I'll be graduating from my Master's at UvA in Social Science (Human Geography), but I work part-time as the Marketing Director for a US-based company, and I'll start working full-time in July. I'm extroverted and friendly, but I tend to stay out of the house during the day. I'm tidy, love to cook, and don't stay up particularly late :) My hobbies include writing, running, and hiking. I have a partner who lives in Amsterdam, and I stay at his house lots during the week.

Vanwege een reistijd van bijna drie uur ben ik op zoek naar een fijne woonruimte in Groningen, bij voorkeur voor minstens de duur van mijn studie. Ik ben een rustige en serieuze student, rook niet, drink niet en ga niet uit. In mijn vrije tijd speel ik graag bordspellen met vrienden of ben ik bij de paarden te vinden. Sinds mijn studententijd woon ik weer bij mijn ouders, maar ik zou graag een zelfstandige woning hebben in de buurt van mijn werk (Den Haag). Ik ben daarom op zoek naar een zelfstandige kamer/woning. Badkamer en toilet delen zou ik mee akkoord gaan, maar het liefst heb ik wel een eigen keuken. Ik heb in mijn studententijd een periode zelfstandig en een periode met huisgenoten gewoond. Ik verzorg mijn woonruimte goed, waardoor ik door mijn medestudenten zelfs vaak huisvrouw werd genoemd. Ik ben behulpzaam en houd altijd rekening met de buren. Verder heb ik een stabiel inkomen, waardoor ik de huur betrouwbaar kan betalen. In mijn vrije tijd geniet ik van een wandeling in de natuur, het lezen van een goed boek of handwerken (van het maken van een tafel, tot het maken van eigen kleren). Verder kan ik genieten van een dagje museum met een vriendin of een goed gesprek onder het genot van een wijntje.

Hoi! Even though I’m from abroad, I’d love to get to know Dutch people – so I try to adapt with my language! My name is Paula and I am 25 years old. I am studying Psychology as my second Bachelor degree in Leiden. I live here since one year after I ended my first bachelor in Sustainable Economics in Germany (Bonn). That was a nice time but figured out that Psychology is my path that I want to pursue. I am interested in conversations and people per se but also enjoy easy talks to laugh a lot. I can imagine to live in Leiden or The Hague. I do acting since a long time ago, started freshly with tennis and my next project is, of course, to learn dutch. I honestly didn't have time to go to a dutch course but I listen to my dutch tennis trainer every Monday for one hour. So I somehow understand it a bit, but I want to learn it for sure!
