Hi, I'm Nico. I’m from London, I’m half Spanish and half Indian, and I speak English and Spanish (and am starting to learn Dutch). After studying maths at Cambridge, I’ve spent the last two years teaching in schools, and now will be starting the Mathematical Sciences MSc in Utrecht in Sep 2024. I take my studies very seriously, but I'm eager to make friends and lots of memories. Besides learning (maths, science, philosophy, history, etc.), I love music (listening and sometimes playing/singing) and chilling with friends, as well as parkour, bouldering, and videogames from time to time. I'm not much of a party person so I spend my free time discovering Amsterdam, trying different foods with friends or just hanging out in my room watching a movie. But generally, I spend most of my time in the library studying. I also don't drink or smoke, would rather buy some nice pastries or coffee instead haha. If I say so myself, I'm a pretty chill person, definitely very clean and just generally like to keep the atmosphere around calm and peaceful. But I'm also down for a fun night, just need my 8h of sleep haha. I'm Jannis. I'm originally from Chalkida, Greece, but I've been living in Amsterdam for the past five years. I'm a painter (studied fine arts in the university of Athens), currently I'm working as a data engineer, and I work a pretty normal 8-5 schedule. During the week, I'm usually in bed by 10:30 and up by 6. I would describe myself as an easy going and independent person. I'm social, but also appreciate my time alone. I appreciate having guests but am mindful of other's comfort, and would always be open and communicative about having people over, and much the same would appreciate room mates to be open with me as well. I'm open to developing friendships but do not see this as a top priority in searching for a roommate. It is important to have a good level of understanding and respect of our mutual space. I like to keep my living space clean and organized and am the type of person to wash dishes as they are made. I'm looking to move in sometime during June. I'm hoping to find a house near Amsterdam Oost region. I would like my own bedroom, and I'm open to living with 1-3 other people. Ideally, the house would have a yard or at least a porch. If the bedrooms are sized differently enough to justify different prices, I'm happy staying in the larger or smaller room.

I'm 23 years old, and will be studying Mechanical Engineering at TU/e in September, but currently living in the UK. I enjoy going out and doing different activities, but still like chilling out at home - I'm usually pretty sociable and chatty (in English!), but my spoken Dutch isn't great, so you might need to be patient, even though I understand it okay.

Hello, hope you are doing well! I am looking for a place to rent until the end of July 2026 as I will begin my Master's in Artificial Intelligence at UvA in September 2024. I am a motivated 3rd-year Data Science student at the TU/e and TiU, passing all of my courses with high grades. Furthermore, my commitment to self-development allows me to be on track to obtain the cum laude honor on my diploma. In my professional life, I am highly ambitious and this led me to seek and fulfill an internship at ASML. (I intend to take on new challenges when studying in Amsterdam). As a tenant, I am very tidy, organized as well as peaceful. And of course, I transfer every payment on time :). In my free time, I love playing chess - I’ve been competing at the national and international level since I was eight years old, which allowed me to become a medalist at multiple national championships (I also won the Dutch Student Chess Championship in 2023). Thanks to this experience, I am a chess coach which allows me to earn around 300-400 euros a month and gives me a lot of fun. Furthermore, apart from my personal income, I am also financially supported by my family and their income greatly surpasses the rent. Overall, I am a very respectful person and do not cause any disturbance, while also taking care of the place I live in. All this makes me believe that I would be a perfect fit for your apartment.
