Hi, I am Rafael, 43 years old, originally from Brazil, and I have been living in Groningen for the past 7 years. I came to the Netherlands to do my PhD in artificial intelligence, and for the past 3 years I have been working as a Lecturer in AI at the University of Groningen. Starting in June, I will begin a new position at Leiden University as a Lecturer in the Computer Science department. I am looking for a temporary place in Leiden for up to six months, where I can stay three to four nights per week while I get to know the city better and search for a permanent place. I am calm, tidy, respectful of shared spaces, and I do not smoke. I am also married, and in Groningen I currently host a student in one of the rooms in my house. Because of that, I know how important it is to live in a way that is considerate, relaxed, and pleasant for everyone in the home. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, playing table tennis, and going for walks in the park. I like having a friendly chat, but I also value quiet time and personal space. I also like pets and am very comfortable living with them, as I used to have a dog at home.

In het weekend vind ik het gezellig om af en toe iets te ondernemen met vrienden, maar thuis hecht ik vooral aan rust en ontspanning. In mijn vrije tijd lees ik graag, ben ik creatief bezig (haken, breien, af en toe schilderen, bakken en koken) en breng ik graag tijd buiten door.
